I don't think Milwaukee or Indy are a higher probability to win than New York. We match up better with New York (we love going against teams with poor rim protection, and Cade plays Brunson really well). Giannis in beast mode is just a struggle for us and Lopez beasts out against us. Indy we should be OK against on paper, but they just get in our heads like no other team.

Boston and Cavs both have it over us in terms of talent, but better chance of catching Boston being lazy and lacking hunger.

Mitchell Robinson is back for New York. If he is healthy and up to speed come playoff time then they are much better protecting the rim.

Anything less than 2-2 would be a big disappointment. 3-1 should be the goal. Once we get back, it’s a pair of home games against the Wiz, so it’s time to stack some wins.

Road trips are always tough but the Pistons have actually been better on the road this season (a true trademark of a good team) so 2-2 at minimum should be expected then they play the Wizards in a home back to back which are as auto as auto wins get in a professional league.
I've said this before, the Pistons can make a real move up the standings with this schedule. Don't want to jinx it, wins are far from guaranteed, but it's a friendly schedule upcoming.

The Pistons should be competitive in any of these series but I think Indiana is the toughest matchup because the Pistons have nobody to match up with the Siakam/Turner duo. Then again, Duren seems like a different player since they last played Indy so hopefully Turner doesn't look like Tim Duncan if the Pistons meet them in the playoffs.

Yeah, maybe. Health is a bigger "if" for NY than either of those other teams too.

Agreed. Between Robinson, OG, and KAT, it feels like a matter when, not if.

Hi again!

Pistons post in Utah the 7th-highest 2PT FG% (78.4%) in a game since 1983-84.

The Pistons had 130+ points and 15+ steals in a game for the 6th time in franchise history, and for the first time since 1984. Interesting that last night was also just the 4th time in a non-OT game

It will be 3 hard games, hope we can play with tobias harris because GSW and Portland are a very good teams when they play at home, look at this:

From 02/02/2025

LAC at home
2-2
14º Offensive rating
17º Deffensive rating
12º EFG%
11º TS%

GSW at home
3-0
6º Offensive rating
1º Defensive rating (98.3)
18º EFG%
20º TS%

Blazers at home
5-1
13º Offensive rating
2º Defensive rating (101,0)
10º EFG%
10º TS%

Pistons on the road:
5-0
2º Offensive rating
1º Defensive rating (105,6)
1º EFG%
1º TS%

In fairness the “LeBron is dominating” thing has been true every year in between 2008 and 2025 too.

The economy has been "shakey" most years too.

Meanwhile, that FG% on 2's is pretty sweet. That's what happens when most of your FGs are dunks!

I had an aquantance who went to prison in 2006 and just got out in January, I told him how much the world had changed cell phones, streaming, and what not, but LeBron was still kicking everyone ass, that still hasn’t changed

That… was kinda awkward. But it’s nice seeing those two get some shine.

Just saw Chicago beat Orlando in FL... They had a chance, but the dunk was late.

Looks like Indiana is going to lose against the Hawks, too.

I would love to play against the Knicks in the playoffs. I think the third best team in the East is the Bucks, with Anteto healthy and Dame. KPJ is playing well and Kuzma's fresh legs are not bad.
Indiana I feel is a bad match up against us. They have a lot of attack dogs against Cade, and we have a problem defending the pick and pop with Turner.
But the most important thing is that our young people are going to have the opportunity to play in the playoffs and that is where you see what the players are really worth. We are going to see Duren in the playoffs and that will mean, for better or worse, seeing the real value of his game when it comes to giving him an extension.

Agree on all that. Bucks are 3rd best.
And Siakam kills us as well. As entertaining as it would be to meet Indy, I'd feel confident of us having more success vs Knicks

Indy also gets into our heads and makes us act out of character. The over/under on ejections for us in an Indy series would probably have to be set pretty high.

This is it. Forget all the other reasons. I am unsure exactly what it is, but they really do bother the Pistons mentally.

Cade is always extra enthusiastic when he dunks, hell does anything against the Pacers. Stew, well, we all know that. Ivey Mathurin. Haliburton took it personally when the Pistons passed on him. Hell even Bickerstaff;

Hell, the whole damn team;

Maybe the Pistons need to play the Pacers. *shrug*
