This is the version of him we needed -

;t=7s

Look at how many of the shots come off a dribble. I went to check the numbers, and he's horrific from three this year off the dribble compared to his 2 Nets seasons.

He's shooting 20% on pull up threes with us, with the Nets he shot 36% and 34% on the same shots. He's taking less pull up 2 pointers with us too. He was a PnR ball handler on 27.3% and 23.7% of his plays with the Nets, with us he's down to 9% as well.

That's exactly why I'm fearing this is more mental than physical. What physical thing can really explain this?

So you think 5 first round picks and 1 2nd round pick is worth a mediocre role player?

Peak delusion.

Thats a big enough package to get a star or even a superstar.

OK, name ONE. (these are bottom of the first round almost 2nd round pick, you realize?)

Even the KD trade only included four 1st round picks. Mikal right now i wouldn't even pay one draft pick for that is how ass he is.

Horrible defense, can't draw free throws, mediocre 3 point shooter. His only good attribute is his durability. :noway:

Even bottom of the first round picks are worth something, they aren't cotton candy. Heck even 2nd rounders have worth.

I'm pretty positive if you offered Bridges to Memphis for 3FRPs they would take that deal right away.

With his current level of play I highly doubt that.

see, like greenie i just call it like i see it. we are only loyal to the truth. when he deserves credit we'll give it to him and when he needs to be called out we'll carry that burden. we don't call them out to make others look bad, like some horrible people do, we only do it to hold him accountable.

The FRPs traded for him are a sunk cost. And he cannot be held personally accountable for how much the Knicks chose to give up to obtain him.

If his new contract can fit within our salary cap without us having to give up significant assets, I would really like the Knicks to bring him back. I think there is a lot of value in continuity, and, if left intact, these Knicks would be a lot better next year. And the fact that Bridges is not having a stellar season could actually help fit his new salary, otherwise his expectations and competition from other teams could drive it up way too high.

I attribute our defensive woes to the system as a whole, rather than a single player. It has been for a number of years that it felt like the Knicks were vulnerable to opposing threes (dunno how much stats support that).

At this point we can only hope his defense improves back to previous levels and he actually attacks the basket again and draws free throws....

We can't get those draft picks back so....

At best 5 Kolek level players; or it could be 5 Knox level players in the other direction. Or mix and match. Yeah, we need those 5 trashy picks (that Thibs would never play ANYWAY) back pronto! :noway: :nonono:
