Wizards Injury update:
Holmes is Out
Kyshawn is Available

Utah Jazz:
Jaden Springer: Questionable (Low back soreness)
Walker Kessler: Out (Rest)
Collin Sexton: Out (Left ankle injury management)
John Collins: Doubtful (Low back injury management)
Lauri Markkanen: Out (Low back injury management)
Jordan Clarkson: Out (Left plantar fasciitis)

This is a game the Wizards could win, given it’s our closest tank competitor. The Jazz have a lot of guys out. Wizards should probably keep it close but lose in the 4th quarter. Although the Jazz may out Tank them.

What the heck,
Go Tank Go !!

The Hornets have 14 wins so we are only 3 games behind them. Tonight is a must lose. Holmes being out should certainly help.

Toilet tank bowl. We'll have to limit the minutes for Smart, Middleton, and Champagnie.

I expect a career high or two from the Jazz players tonight.

Last chance for a win for a while.
Don’t see them beating TOR or DET coming up to start
the longest road trip of the year. Our position at the top
of the tank board seems quite solid.

Utah is in full tank mode now sitting out their starters. They didn't even play yesterday but Kessler is out for rest?

Kispert having a nightmare performance offensively, including missing FTs…he plays too many minutes. I rather watch our youngins.

Kyshawn for 3! He is having another solid evening.

By the way, he looks much better than the highly touted Cody Williams.

Ky looked better than Bilal tonight.
I know we have to be careful rooting for wins but
I see a strong likelihood they lose their next 6 games.
So I’m okay with the dub.

Really solid game from Bub. Decent bounce back game from Sarr.

Re Smart- I know I repeated adage about hating/loving him depending on
which side of the ball he’s on but sometimes he does ish when he’s playing
for us too. Good game tonight.

Who would you pick?

Filipowski, 21 years old

Or

Sarr. 19 years old
Bye bye Beal.

Trick question?

I am going with the 19 year old.

Filipowski had a terrific game last night. But, then, so did Sarr!

Sarr, @19yo, mostly needs to get more physically mature while (1) working on his offensive
skillset and (2) gaining experience as a post defender in the NBA.

On draft night Flip was dropping big and a couple of people thought we should nab him with our 3rd pick, it was very tempting.

Oh I don't know about that! He had a good night last night -- he's been pretty terrible on the year so far.

We took Kyshawn George with that 3d pick. I wouldn't have taken Filipowski over him.

Are you saying you would have? Did you call for us to take him in the draft thread last year? Nah.... Good thing we didn't.

In fact, several guys taken after him in R2 have been a lot better.

There was a post draft thread where I said I would have drafted Castle, Knecht, Filipowski rather than who we did, but thought who we did pick was certainly supportable. Will be years before can know for sure how good these guys are.

Filipowski is top 7 in BPM & VORP for rookies so I don’t think describing him as terrible is accurate. He needs to improve his strength and durability (rebounding) to succeed. Kyshawn obviously has to shoot better. They both seem like hard workers and both teams probably happy with their picks.
