We're probably going to play Orlando in the play-in, too

Why can't Bancaro shoot? Ugh, we win (yay?). I root for close losses these days, but I kept catching myself rooting for our guys when they actually play well. It's harder to root against us when Vuc is out. Billy did a bad job of coaching this one. The thing that surprised me was how we came back with Matas at C. Watching Carter tonight makes me feel good we traded that bum. We almost always lose when we have more than 14 TO's, but credit the Bulls rebounding tonight making the difference.

I have a hard time rooting against Coby. He is just so likeable. Heck of a game. Orlando did a terrible job trying to stop his penetration, and tonight he had his 3 ball falling (wow 15 attempts!...I love it!). Kudos to the team feeding him in the 4th...that is a team playing for each other.

Jones had himself a night as well. If he had a 3pt shot, I'd want to keep him. Smart/tough guy.

The February shine is off Giddey, those 3's aren't falling any more, but still just one shy of a trip dub. His physicality against the ORL bigs was really impressive. And he did a nice job defensively.

Matas disappeared again offensively in the 2nd half, but still he made a couple 3's and had 3 blocks and defended ORL's forwards admirably.

I had no problem with Smith and Collins fouling out. At least those dudes were getting after it defensively...especially Smith.

If he does that would be deeply insane. We don't need 6 pgs next year. If he gets a new deal that probably means we had to cut our 2nd round pick.

2nd round pick most likely isn’t gonna isn’t amount to anything.

Oh believe me, I know lol. I'm sure Tre would be better, but we simply don't need to add yet another 1 to the group of Coby, Carter, Ball, Ayo and a possible draft pick, plus obviously Giddey will probably be back to run the point, which is all Jones can do.

How do we get rid of Carter? He’s a negative asset.

I should be mad, not it is what it is. Atleast it was won with heavy doses of Coby and Giddey, plus Buzelis got alot of burn. Atleast they didn't win due to a Vooch revenge game

Orlando kicked our asses in that Vuc trade, but not looking like it will be parlayed into much. WCJ I hated that pick, didn't care he was traded, for the exact reason he's proving.... He's JAG. High floor low ceiling player. It was obvious even at the draft. In that draft , I felt we needed to roll the dice on MPJ. We needed to swing for the fences not lay down a bunt.

The Franz portion of that trade stings, but not Brooklyn level. I kinda feel like Orlando gonna be treadmilling it for a long time. Franz and Paulo are really nice pieces, but those 2 being your core on MAX contracts, really limits the ceiling imo. Especially with Suggs also being paid big bucks. I feel like Orlando best case is like a 2010's Jazz or Atlanta

Edit to add: I know in hindsight that MPJ wasn't the correct pick either, SGA was. But i can still guarantee you that MPJ at the 2021 trade deadline, had a HELL of alot more trade value than Wendell. Wendell was basically a throw-in. For comparison, MPJ would have gotten us Vuc without needing to include those picks, possibly even Orlando having to be the ones to add draft compensation as a sweetener.

Great points. WCJ was explosive coming out of college, but then he did the "Bulls thing" and bulked up, and lost his defensive advantage. For a while, I thought he might develop a 3 ball, but that didn't materialize, and now he's a slow, short, non-3pt shooting C.

as for Franz and Paulo, Stacy made a good point during the game. They are both non-3pt shooters, which really puts ORL in a bind because there's no spacing on offense. I feel better about my comment on the trade thread asking for 2 1sts from them for Coby. With Suggs done for the year, I like our chances against them in the play in (unless Vuc plays).

bulls had a good year I feel . Acquired 2 pieces we can move forward with in matas and giddey . We are very fortunate both of those guys ended up In a bulls uniform . Giddey trade was a fleece in no world is Alex Caruso worth a lottery triple double threat . And again it was a miracle matas fell to 11 I think he will end up much better than a few of the guys picked ahead of him .if those 2 guys don't become bulls that magic trade would sting more than it does . I don't really feel the magic are in a much better situation than us . We at least have flexibility and just as many promising players .

Orlando was looking really good to start the year Franz & Paulo would of made the All Star team but both got hurt. Not sure what's going on now with the team. Maybe Suggs is there Caruso? But they might not be a treadmill team if they can stay healthy.

He has a player option after this year. While many think he will buy in I could see him being frustrated with his lack of playing time and deciding he wants out. Hes due 6.8. I doubt he gets that on the open market but he will be 30 next season and is barely playing. He's made 28Million over his career.

Draft and send to Europe.

Selling it for cash considerations is the Chicago way.
