This game wouldnt have been close if Podz had been healthy, or even if Buddy hadnt bought that cursed monkey paw last night.

those Hield mins are terrible and we just gave up defense....should played more Looney

Don't know if Buddy Hield's struggles are mental. Feel bad for the guy. Nice win nonetheless. Barely pulled out this one. Steph and Jimmy carried the team as usual.

his problem is confidence and he thinks he is MJ...if you are a role player, you defense and knock down open threes. He was trying to dribble and create for others and attack the basket 0/8 and 2 TOs geez how can steve kerr not stopping the guy? He was completely out of control and played 23 mins (-11)!!!!

important W to keep the streak on rolling. they need to win against supbar team, even if it's the last game of a road trip, they have already lost too many winnable games in the first half of the season.
curry is just box office. the greatest show on earth despite what other people might think. his craftmanship and skillset are unmatched. never seen anyone else like that on a basketball court.

on another note, the fact the team needed a great game from butler and steph to go supernova (some plays just mindblowing) to overcome a bad team like the nets is not a good sign. yes, the record looks good in the last 10-12 games and now the standings are better than 1 month ago, but the signals are not the ones of a great team. and people need to stop making excuses. the nets are a bad team, the players available (and you had the top 3 dawgs available for this one) should be enough to get a W in brooklyn without going to the wire even with kuminga and podz out. it's not like the team missed bird and magic. that's not an argument for this game. look at hield and green instead. the first was awful apart the shooting, the second has been playing poorly as for late. even this game, subpar. he talks a lot lately, he better starts to put his mouth where the money is. if they both played better, this game would've been over earlier.

Ugly game. Curry a team-worst -16, despite the 40-point game.

Butler was a team-best +17, one of his best games as a Warrior, looking to attack mismatches, unlike the game in Orlando.

Warriors survived red-hot shooting by the Nets but their shooting picked up. They got a real friendly whistle though Butler was aggressive and the Nets tried to be really physical, getting Curry to pick up an offensive foul with a shoulder charge into the defender after first getting bumped.

There are a lot of good trends, especially FTA, FTM, FT%. But the overall team shooting has been mediocre despite the wins. They can survive being outshot against bad teams but they shouldn’t be getting outshot by bad teams in the first place. This team needs another reliable shooter, though Post has helped, as teams were leaving him open at first.

What happened to Podz, played 1 minute and got injured?

Post is all finesse. He scored a nice layup over a wing. Man when we used to play pickup, you had a guy who was 6-5 while most other players were under 6 foot, the big guy would just go to the front of the rim, catch a pass and turn and lay it right over, no finesse, no pushing smaller guys or trying to go through their bodies, just keep the ball high and release it high.

Post is going to need to learn to use his length advantage when switched against wings. Adding like 20 pounds of upper body muscle in the offseason would be a good start. It would be good for his career prospects and earning potential, because just shooting 3s won’t get him paid.

The other thing is, teams are going to contest his 3s more aggressively. It would be nice if he could attack those contests off the dribble or work on shot fakes, relocation dribbles or just learn to shoot over smaller defenders, even from deep.

I’d say he’s lacking some confidence. He’s missing wide open ones, seemingly rushing his release on the gather and release when at the start of the season, he seemed far more relaxed when getting good looks.

His instincts when he's struggling are terrible: shoot more and shoot more difficult shots. Force everything. He refuses to just let open shots come to him. And he can't dribble to save his life.

Really he's unplayable most of the time. You have GP2, Moody, and Podz. Buddy shouldn't be given unlimited minutes and unlimited opportunities to screw up. Almost single-handedly cost them the game.

On the other note Cam Johnson is really good. 26 points and + 11, can defend and deadly shooter and create a bit. Not as good as Jimmy but if we have him instead of JK we would be the favorite to win this year

Kerr has his rotations on lock and we are living with the results. And the results have been great. We know Buddy is going to be needed for 20 minutes or so for spacing, and even with Podz out Kerr made the adjustment to not push him more than that tonight with the shot looking awful. What a great way to end the road trip with a super gritty comeback.

I just don't see how we can trust Buddy in playoff games as a major rotation piece, just off the charts inconsistency, if that loses you 1 or 2 games in a series, you're screwed.

Ugly, ugly win but got the job done I guess.
