Did he say anything about his son going 5-15 and didn't show up in the 4th?

Not the guy that shredded the Magic for 44pts and 7 3s…
Nope, not him. Theoretically, the need is for a player who can organize the offense. Giddey is better at that than White.

Find me the videos of where contact caused those injuries? No one was able to pinpoint either injury as far as I can remember.

That's a solid guess but didn't seem like that much contact. Elbows to the back/ribs happens every game on every Franz and Paolo drive to the basket.

Might just have to start occupying my time figuring out who should run/coach this team.

Guess we won’t know every available option until the offseason.

Obviously, we probably retain both Weltman and Mose so this is all likely a moot point.

Sometimes all it takes is taking that hit in just the right spot while your body is contorted just the right way.

yeah but it's a rare injury that occurred to both of your star forwards within a month of each other. Very strange, you must admit.

I called it early Feb, this is a lottery team with tank vibes. Looking back, it’s actually terrible we won all those games in Nov and some unexpected ones in Dec because we have to many wins even though this is clearly a lottery tank team.

Why would it need to come to that? Thats dysfunctional.

If either one of Paolo or Franz make it known to ownership that Mosley (or Weltman for that matter) should no longer be the coach he, he won't be the coach here.

This is a player's league and Franz and Paolo are both about to be locked in for 5 years apiece. If they want the coach or GM gone, they'll be gone.

Joke is going to be on ownership when Paolo and Franz ask to be traded to a real franchise.

This is a low point in franchise history right now, I don't think it's dramatic to say that. Perhaps not *the* low point, but *a* low point.

There's no hiding for Weltman now. He has to do something, he literally has no choice. But beyond whatever roster changes occur in the offseason, we need to see some kind of character from these guys. They're young and I will allow them to be imperfect and experience downs as well as ups. But starting next season, this kind of thing can't happen again. Paolo and Franz as a duo need to be good enough to not allow the team to do what we have just done on this homestand.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

In terms of expectations coming in versus results going out, this is the worst season in a VERY long time. Probably since 11-12 and I’d rank this season above that.

Pretty much everyone was thinking 50 wins, homecourt in round 1, winning a series back in September.

Yeah. Someone mentioned something about 60% TS and 30% USG?

I could be misremembering, but my recollection is that I said a team’s offense will be good with or without a point guard and with or without good ball movement if their highest usage player has a 30+ USG% on a 59% TS% which is what Paolo had when he got injured originally.

Obviously it hasn’t worked out that way for Paolo specifically, but I stand by that as a statement overall.

If you have a player capable of a 59+ TS% on a 30+ USG%, your offense won’t be bad, even without a point guard.

But hey, I guess ya got me.

I'm not going to pretend to understand what is happening right now with these one possession losses piling up against tanking teams. I'm at a loss, something has gone wrong with chemistry and culture and it seems to have happened while trying to reintegrate Paolo.

My inability to explain this funk aside though, I don't think this is a low point. The injuries explain most of our performance issues and the cap sheet explains the rest. We are in the last year of the player development phase and this season wasn't about this season.

If I'm Weltman I definitely revisit "the plan" and re-tool around Paolo and Franz. I listen to the stars on Mosley, though I wouldn't be in a hurry to fire him. If I'm ownership I let Weltman continue.
