The Bulls might have to bring back Vucevic to avoid making the playoffs. Without Vuc, the Bulls could realistically beat the Magic and Heat/Hawks to make the playoffs as the 8th seed.

Giddey/Coby backcourt is starting to look really strong…

Ayo might be the odd man out.

We are loaded with good guards. White, Giddey, Ball, Jones, Ayo. Even Heuter is producing now. We need turn a couple of them into frontcourt pieces or draft picks.

I’d probably resign Jones and try to flip him later instead of letting him walk if he’d take a similar deal to what he’s on now. Not sure how feasible that would be with Giddey about to get paid though.

Stacey King said the Bulls are trying to sign Giddey for $22-24 million a year and Coby's max is $18 million, so Giddey and Coby will be making closer to $40 million combined.

I don't want to be a buzz kill, because obviously some are enjoying the win, so I'll try to be positive.

Matas had a good overall game, got some points, hit some 3's grabbed some boards and blocked some shots. Can't wait to see what he's like next season.

Giddey continues to suck, he's still scoring well even with the 3ball falling off a bit whilst rebounding and getting assists. AK is going to bid against himself and give him 30m per.

Tre Jones has been quietly very very good, I wouldn't mind him being back next year but the Bulls need to work out their guard problem.

Congrats to Coby for the 44 point game, Orlando had no answer for him, the only way for Orlando to stop him scoring on them next season is to trade for him.

Carry on.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy. :kissmybutt:

me too ! Lol a couple of possessions down the stretch go his way at the end and he would have had it .

I wish he’d play like this more often. Not score 50 of course but be more consistent to help his team win games.

Bulls are more than capable of beating Orlando or Atlanta in a one game elimination play in game, even by accident. Both those teams are just weak and aren’t going anywhere any time soon just like the bulls lol.

The perfect game for Coby White to go on a heater. I'm calling it. White will be traded to the Orlando Magic.

They all have to be at least All-Star level. What has always been consistent is the need of having Top 5-7 NBA talent on the team to be championship contender (e.g., Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Steph, Tatum, Kawhi). We simply don't have one of those yet, we need to acquire that level of talent if this franchise is serious about winning.

Teams like the Heat already have an established system and Spoelstra is good enough to keep the team afloat. It's just they have an anomaly guy like Jimmy who have extra gear in the playoff. The Bulls don't have an established system, and we don't have Jimmy Butler on this team. If that's what AK is trying to build with Billy, well nothing has come to fruition.

The current NBA is actually very simple for teams like Chicago, just focus on acquiring as much talent with potential as possible a la OKC. Meaning they can't be too attached with their current talent. Treat every player in your roster as trading assets.

For who and what? They will be in the tax next year if they keep all players. Have all 15 guaranteed money besides below.

Have 4 TO players in
M. Wagner 11m
Harris 7.5m
Joseph 3.5m
Houstan 2.2m

With Banchero extension also Anthony end of next year.
Oh and 2 first round picks in 25. They are in a spot of bother.

What you thinking?

Jimmy Butler is not playing for Miami anymore and Miami is in NBA hell like Bulls are. TOP player will come only through the draft if you are not Lakers.

That would actually be solid.. but White I think can get over 20M on open market.

Tre Jones is already paid 9M, I dont wanna overpay him either, maybe another 10M one year deal..

You wouldnt resign him for around 20-22M?

I think thats manageable in modern NBA where every JAG gets almost 30M per lol..

I didnt watch the game ,but how the hell Collins and Smith got 6 fouls and Buz 5?? What was going on under the basket!? Like they were playing vs Shaq

I would like it if we could resign Jones for reasonable numbers (< 10 Year).
Main priority however is to resign Giddey and as has been discussed it might take 30 mio year

Already under contract: (and keepers from mpov)
White
Ayo
Vuc
Collins
Huerter
Smith
PWill
Ball
Matas
add in our upcoming 1st rd pick

That would be 12 slots

further under contract:
Terry
Phillips
Carter (technically a PO)

Thats 15

I would prefer to cut one of these 3 guys in order to resign Horton Tucker (simply because he knows how to put the ball in the basket (if allowed to do so)

I was talking not in the context of current Miami Heat. But how the Heat was able to slip into the Finals during his tenure there.

Return to Chicago Bulls
