Karma always gets Thibs and he never learns from it. Anyone surprised that milking Brunson game after game after game, having the highest usage rate in the clutch, essentially having to do everything on offense would finally result in some injury? I'm not even surprised, at some point this was going to happen. But I guess Thibs apologizers will find a way to rationalize this away.

Let's see how Boston and Cleveland with their load management strategy, ball movement, load distribution fare the next weeks leading up to the playoffs and let's see how Thibodeau the milkman milking all his players is going to fare:#

KAT battling knee injury from overuse
Hart battling knee injury from overuse
JB probably out for multiple weeks because Thibs has not established any bench, no offensive strategy, simply nothing and was only milking Brunson game after game

Y'all posts just indicate one thing: with the exception of the captain and og, everyone is shocked and didnt know what to do in crucial moments

this is coaching, or lack thereof

If the Knicks dodge a major bullet and the Brunson injury is only a mild sprain (which looks rather unlikely if you look at the angle it turned) then you know Thibs the fool will throw him back in as soon as possible with no regards to Brunson's longterm health. The guy is as reckless as they come.

The upcoming games will completely expose Thibs for the fraud he is....without the JB (JAILen Bailout) card the Knicks will lose multiple games and reveal that it is Brunson that willed this team to 40 wins despite Thibs!

And to Hart: Ya'll having fun running around a hobbled knee from overuse? Still in the mood to make jokes about the minutes police?

He deserved that win. Fire thibs and trade everyone besides OG

Games like this show that this is a stars league. We need to trade Mikal and KAT for Giannis.
Why would Milwaukee do that?

I am hoping Thibs proves people wrong and wins a ring with us but I can't help but imagine how near unguardable our guys would be if they master these offensive sets.

The Knicks are a team of role players, no #1 guy, no closer.

Thibs is a bad coach who plays his starters heavy minutes so that he doesn’t have to make adjustments.

The team last year, with Donte and a healthy Randle and Mitchell Robinson, was better.

1. Brunson is clearly a top player and closer

2. Thibs is not a bad coach but there’s truth to your point

3. No

I am proud of Jalen Brunson. He is a warrior and a fighter. I'm always proud of him.

Jalen has been carrying Tom's rigid, stubborn ass for 206 regular season games. Now let's see what Tom does without having a superstar to ride into the dirt

just finished. man what a desaster.
I am still impressed by the play call with a minute left in overtime, down 2.
Deuce, with zero points for the game, dribbles for 20 seconds and takes a contested long two.
right out of Thibs playbook.

NOTHING from Towns, Deuce and Payne on offense.
And the trade was 5 seconds for Mikal, like the Bucks traded for Jae Crowder, right? It has to be a typo.

That's on Brunson. Even the injury was his going one on three and the late shot in overtime he tried force his way through a double team. Get off it more.

They’ve won most of their close games though…..
This was their first overtime loss. He needs to force Jalen to get off of it.

I agree with the karma thing and Thibs but...

When do we start holding JB somewhat accountable. I bet Thibs never says "here's the ball, hold it for 18 seconds, then get trapped and shoot over 2 or turn it over". He probably doesn't do it, he is just like "you got this". And JB needs to figure it out. He is amazing scorer, in the reals of prime James Harden, but he needs to work desperately on the double teams because he is terrible, especially when the legs are gone.

JB needed to get off it faster. Hart is a reluctant shooter. You can't keep tossing him grenades.

What's up with KAT? Playing bad for a while now. Is he injured?

The Lakers made Lebron the center at times to force the Knicks small. Mitch and KAT had no chance. Also Mitch and Hart is a nightmare.

he's got to be more aggressive no doubt...maybe the injury to brunson (only silver lining I can think of) will open things up to him.

But in all seriousness do you want him to rip the ball away from his teammates...he is banished to sitting in the corner like he's in the shadow realm.

A creative coach would try to play him with the bench more, especially with Mitch and Precious able to play besides KAT.
Precious was out.

Montmorencie wrote:We were supposed to be good but this team still has Brunson holding the ball for 18 seconds before he gets trapped and loses it or make a tough bucket.

OG has weak body, Mikal and KAT are weak mentally, Hart is asked to be the second best player in the team way too often and Thibs is not evolving as a coach.

We were up by 6, they got a nice layup between Luka and Hayes when they rocked the rim. We are literally 4 on 2 on the other end, instead of doing fast break we call quick time out. Why? We just told them - "damn, that was a nice play, we are so bad and weak and pathetic fragile team, let me call a timeout and escape from reality for 30 seconds". Guess what, we didn't draw anything...

That's the game right there.
The momentum was gone and we were reeling. A timeout was needed.
