Trades and Transactions Thread - 2025 Season Discussion

Says the guy that spammed Kessler and Jerami grant trades everyday like this is 2k.

And RJ for OG or Siakam trades, Randle for Towns trades and Bogdanovic for Bridges trades. That’s about it. I talked about Vucevic and DeRozan too. So I guess since most of these switched teams or even came true, i don’t need to pay much attention to you - especially since Kessler and Grant world still be nice pieces here and have of course been talked about league-wide. Also note that I haven’t brought up Grant in more than a year now.

You’re embarrassing your self more by bringing up guys like Vucevic. You really wanted us to build a team around Vucevic, Mikal, Grant, Nurkic. That’s worse than Phil Jackson. Humble yourself.

I’m good man. Everybody with a brain knows that these are great role players and that I wouldn’t build around them. Brains are not everybody’s strength though and you’ve put yourself on the wrong side of this spectrum often enough - for no good reason. I’m humble enough, I know when I’m wrong and I know that Bridges has been up and down, but I believe that it’s the easy thing to trash him now or propose idiot trades for the best players in the league (And that’s with no better reason than having been wrong on Towns and an insufferable inability to accept that). I’d applaud the front office for getting Giannis too.

I do not believe I’m embarrassing myself more than you have, certainly not for my willingness to give this team more time together. I’d say I’m willing to accept the reality of a process, of growing pains, of building chemistry and habits. I’m just not a flip-flopping poster. You’ll have to deal with it.

I could see the Kings being a team that makes an aggressive offer for OG Anunoby in the offseason. They went the direction of rebuilding around Sabonis getting LaVine in the Fox trade, and Anunoby would be a great fit there. There also isn’t a need for both Monk and DeRozan.

Ellis/LaVine/Anunoby/Murray/Sabonis
Either DeRozan or Monk anchoring the bench with Valancunis.

SAC can start the trade by offering a 2027 lessor of SAS/SAC, 2031 MIN 1st (unprotected). I would want Monk in the deal and SAC would need to use bird rights guys to create outgoing salary for a sign and trade (unless they also move DeRozan). 2nd would need to go to a 3rd team with a rotation player going back to NY.

For example:
NYK: Malik Monk, Daniel Gafford, 2027 1st (lessor of SAS/SAC), 2031 1st (via MIN unprotected)
SAC: OG Anunoby
DAL: Cap Filler from SAC, 2 2nd rd picks (via CHA through SAC).

Knicks lineup:
Brunson/McBride/Bridges/Towns/Gafford
Monk/Hart/Robinson
Kolek/Dadiet/Hukporti

NY would have 17.8mm below the 2nd apron with 11 players on the roster. Enough room to use the full taxpayer MLE (5,650,000), hold 2 vet min slots - $2.3m each, one of which is used for full season and 1 reserved for a buyout guy, and sign Precious to a 7.5mm “human TPE” type of deal.
