He was until the Spurs told him no because they're probably going to retire that # for Kawhi (which is insane to think about considering how his departure went down) so they made his pick another one and he decided to wear #4 because it was his wife's number in college.

Oh . That’s kinda crazy Kawhi didn’t win ring for them

It’s even worse than that.

You know what player has the highest net rating on the Kings: Keon Ellis

You know which player has the best defensive rating: Keon Ellis

You know which player is 8-3 as a starter: Keon Ellis

What does Monte do? Trade for a shooting guard to send him to the bench.

Yep, Kings have been trying to get Lavine for seven years and once Vivek becomes attached to someone that's not a superstar it's only a matter of time.

Why am I not excited? I just know the Bulls got nothing for Zach… knowing them. Time to read and confirm right now.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Zach LaVine may be the most Kings player I've ever seen. He was born to play for the Kings.

Fox for the kings this season:

25/5/6 on 47/32/83

Lavine for the kings:

23.4/4/4 on 51/43/89

Early days but Lavine has been GREAT for the Kings so far.

I didn't see Mitch Richmond play, but it sounds like he is 90's Zach Lavine :)

Lavine's a better basketball player than Fox.

Fox brings provides negative value off the ball. His game is entirely predicated on what he does with the ball, and it's not exactly great either with him being a largely inefficient scorer and a mediocre playmaker.

Lavine's game has a lot of holes as well but he brings elite shooting, which makes him more malleable in different lineups.

Ouch!

Really? Fox is negative value? Would think the narrative so far was LaVine is a stat patter and Fox brings value to a team.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!

Sad to see Kings lose Fox but happy for Kings doing well since the trade. Lavine has a been pleasant surprise hope the kings make the playoffs this year.

Not even close. Richmond was the 2nd best SG behind Jordan.

I don't know if he's a better player, but he's a better fit. Lavine is the much better shooter and far more efficient. Fox is the better playmaker but the Kings have other guys who can do that.

People really sleep on just how effective LaVine is though. Since the beginning of the 20/21 season, he has a TS% of .616 and a TS+ of 107. Shooting .549 from 2, .399 from 3 and .845 from the line over that period.

16 field goal attempts is perfect for him.
The Kings do seem like a good fit for him.
He has had one winning season in his career but he's trending in the right direction as a King.

Zach is a good player. He has often been underrated because his teams haven't been great, plus Zach isn't elite enough to elevate a team by his lonesome. But put him on a team with a true #1 (which the Kings don't really have, sadly) and he would be revelation. Man, Denver could use him! He would instantly be their second best player, unless Murray was on one of his periodic hot streaks.

The Kings really wasted him. In his 7 years with the Kings, Richmond made the playoffs once and was bounced in the first round. 4 of those years, they won less than 30 games. The other 3 years they won 34, 39 and 39.

He had good teammates in GS with Mullin and Hardaway but his best teammate on the Kings was probably Walt Williams, Those rosters were terrible. Then he moved to a Washington team with a washed Juwan Howard and Rod Strickland.

He's probably had one of the worst supporting casts for his career.

Its not easy to build around Wemby for as good as he is . Feels like Pelicans Anthony Davis
