Philadelphia 76ers coach Nick Nurse said the team is getting close to making a treatment decision for Joel Embiid. Embiid has been shut down for the season due to his troublesome left knee. Since then, Embiid and the Sixers have undergone several evaluations to determine the best treatment plan for the former MVP. Embiid is set to undergo another evaluation on Saturday.
Embiid said previously that more surgery would be necessary for him to get back to feeling like himself again. Since being shut down, further surgery hasn't been ruled out nor deemed necessary. Both Embiid and the team have been cautious with their approach to further treatment.
