Sorry Zach Lavine fans, but the bundle of VETERAN throwaways was a depth upgrade. Losing Vuc to injury was a major Net Rating / style of play upgrade.

Any scrub G-League team can try and sneak wins on an NBA schedule. Remember when the “Vuckevic”(sp?) Wizards kicked our ass last year? You just need to find the most predictable mediocre team with defensive liabilities, exploit and out-hustle them. Young guys with no guaranteed deals are hungry, and if they get hot, they get hot. There’s no scouting plan for stopping them.

I don’t care what anyone says- Philly looks like a team with a secret mandate to lose. Nurse didn’t break a sweat coaching that Bulls game. Everything looked disorganized and rec-league. Bulls don’t do that, and they pay the price every draft. The regret will seep in next year when Philly or San Antonio face us with Flagg on their roster.

Don’t get me wrong- they don’t tell their players to lose, but they set up a situation where they don’t have much of a chance to win.

Billy is coaching to win, with vets. We’ll get a 10-13 pick.

I don’t get this take. The Bulls have won a whopping 2 or 3 games, IIRC, since dealing Zach.

I’m more concerned about the Spurs tanking past us

Can this be a possible route for us? Lets just say we draft someone like Dylan Harper at #3 or #4. We then trade Coby, Vuc, Huerter, Giddey to somehow for Anthony Davis?

I wouldn't do that. Far from certain that Harper will be better than Giddey or Coby, let alone both. And I can't imagine AD would be moved for a package like that. For better or worse, Dallas clearly values him highly.

First of all, Dylan Harper is going 2nd overall, I don't see how he slides.

Secondly, please God in heaven I hope this doesn't happen. What would be the point?

To get old and injury prone again, to make a run at the 6th seed with an illogical mishmash of a veteran star surrounded by a rookie and Matas. AD will be 33 next season and he has played the following number of games over the last 6 seasons:

36
40
56
76
43
43

294/492 = 59%

And he’s owed $176 million over the next 3 seasons.

Irving is out for the year.
This means the Mavs probably drop past the Blazers.
Blazers are 4 games back from Mavs for 2nd play in team.
1.5 back from Suns.

There is an outside chance we jump from pick 8 to 15 just by winning the play in.

We are 2.5 games up on both Brooklyn and Philly for 7 and 3 from Spurs for 9th.

8 seems like where we will land with a likely pick falling at 9

Going to need luck that's for sure . Some teams had months of a start over the bulls . Around Christmas I think the bulls thought they could turn it around and then remarkably pivoted to the tank a month later . It's too late but I think our pick will be better than what it hypothetically could have been .

Anthony Davis. Ak’s trading for Embiid!!! It will take a few future firsts along with the young players, but they’ll be top 4 protected.

Instant contender, baby (oh Embiid isn’t done or seriously, seriously slowed down).

The Nets nor Philly were going to catch up.

All that will change is if the Bulls will pick at #8, #9 or outside the lottery because they won two play-in games.

Do you guys want me to bump the thread with the tank GIFs turbo made for us?

lmk if so. Although, I believe it involves our 2012 squad or photos of a rose wilting etc… still effective.

IMO the gifs would make this more fun, especially if several of us had them.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

We won 4 games in a calendar month and increased our grip on the 10th spot.

Time to face it Bulls fans we are play-in bound.

I don't think we are . Some of our projects are just way overperforming and the tank is strong league wide .
