Nothing's changed since Doncic joined the Lakers. The best player still plays for Boston and it's still Al Horford.

I accidentally listened to Perk eek!

Before the game the Lakers were saving the NBA with their great play and fan excitement, and would win the game last night.

After the game he says everyone forgot the defending champs can't be beat and was beating his chest like he has something to do with it.

I know of no other player of whom it's so instructive to watch video as Al Horford. Even the smallest of movements or choices look intentional.

Another veteran, Jrue Holiday, returned after missing 10 days with an injury to the pinkie finger on his right (shooting) hand. Holiday played with a small brace on it and said he would be able to continue doing so moving forward. He finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds and an assist in 34 minutes.

That he returned Saturday was another sign of the way Boston approached this game -- as was Mazzulla playing Tatum, Brown and Horford so many minutes.

"I feel like there's moments that you give those guys chances to be able to be a part of that," Mazzulla said. "Everybody on this roster is playing for a legacy, and you do it together, and I felt like that was a great moment for them to be able to compete at a high level for as long as they wanted to.

"It's my way of saying that you better win. And I like watching them play."

Hey I want Al to retire with let’s say three rings as much as the next guy, but I’m confident 42 is already going in the rafters.

Nice win.

Tatum and Brown for VC. Both were great.

Al with a huge game on both ends of the floor. We needed it.

We needed more from White and Jrue.

Pritchard and Hauser gave us nothing off the bench. 34 minutes combined and just 3 points combined.

Luke was solid.

We almost blew a 22 point lead. Lakers cut it to 4 at one point.

Meanwhile, we went on a title run with him missing much of it and this current starting five without him has killed opposition. We do need him so Al doesn’t have to play these many minutes. High level of play for sustained minutes from him at this age is unrealistic.

Lol. We just won the nba finals with KP having a great game on game 1. That set the tone for the series. Tons of mismatches with him inside. We also need his rim protection. We don’t have any rim protection other than KP. We need Al to defend against Lebron or a giannis, but we need KP against bigger faster bigs like mobley and Allen. We need both to repeat. One analyst just said that the Celtics took advantage of all the Al mismatches inside, but he also said, that imagine if Porzingis was inside. He’s bigger than anybody the lakers has. My problem with KP at times is he falls in love too much with the 3ball. He can basically score inside everytime. Also, he can matchup better against Chet if we do face them in the finals.

Most of what you said is theoretical in the playoffs. He's had one really good quarter. That's it. I'm not saying I'd rather not have him. I'm saying we really haven't seen it work yet for an extended period of time. Not his fault. He didn't ask to be made out of glass.

We can’t win without KP period. Just stop it with the KP slander. Al had his fair share of bad games in the playoffs. Posters here were coming for his head at times. Remember the time the 1st ever play game 7 conf finals against the heat? Horford basically passed up an almost wide open shot 5 feet of the basket? To pass to JT, which ended up with JT spraining his ankle. Horf won’t even look at the rim. He can basically dunk that with a shorter defender infront. Horford will be manhandled against athletic faster bigs. With KP out, hirford will be asked to play high mins. He will be gassed out before the series is over. Just stop with the KP hate. We need both to have a chance to repeat.
