Tight ends typically take time to develop. I have no earthly idea why anyone would give up on Sinnott right now. If he doesn't take a step forward this season, then sure it's reasonable.

Exclusive rights free agents are players whose contract has expired and who have two or fewer accrued seasons. Once a team has tendered an exclusive rights free agent, that player can only sign with that team.

Garrett has over $100M in career earnings though. He's already generationally set. If he's concerned about money after playing, winning a SB helps his post-playing earning potential as well.

I believe John Keim a few days ago said it was unlikely that the Commanders wre going to sign Bates given that there were a few teams interested. Looks like he's back in the fold, he is a good run blocking tight end.

I suppose I just don't value that enough to spend significant cap on it. You can find those guys in the 7th round of any draft.
