This was probably one of the ugliest games I’ve ever seen two teams collectively play

You're lucky, I've seen many far worse. Heck, I thought this was a less stressful win than Charlotte and Chicago.

Don and Darius couldn't shoot straight, but at least Evan, Max, Dean, and Sam were hitting their 3's. Only 15 TO's too.

Some good news. It looked like Jarret had a different treatment on his hand tonight (thinking it was taped .vs. some sort of splint perhaps) and he was comfortably using his right hand again.

Otoh, it looked like Mobley knocked knees. Seems ok, but we'll have to see if it swells up on him.

Couldn’t catch the Hornets game bc I was in transit, but read the game was nasty (especially at the end).

It just felt like no one could handle the ball this game even if it only resulted in a few more turnovers than average

What about those times in previous seasons we couldn't even inbound the ball? Or dribble the ball up the floor against a press?

Ugh, I'd rather not remember.

The refs mostly avoided calling reach-ins and it led to a lot of loose balls. Donovan and Darius are both a little off but the defense was there. Good to get a comfortable win despite our offensive engines being in low gear. I’m not afraid of the Bucks in the 2nd round after tonight if we’re healthy.

Ignoring the dark years between 2018 and 2021, some of the ugliest recent ball was after the all-Star break in Garland’s initial allstar year where teams just decided to double him bc he didn’t have anyone to make a play after he was doubled

Man Dame has really regressed into a straight foul baiter at this point. It seemed like he took more awkward shots exaggerating contact than legitimate ones last night.

The Garland/Allen units were decisively better than the Mitchell/Mobley units last night. With the exception of Strus and Allen, none of our staters shot well, but the game was over when Doc left both Giannis and Lopez out there for (almost) the entire 3rd quarter and couldn't really close the gap. They just had nothing left in the tank after that.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.
