Jalen Suggs and the ORL Center of your choice (WCJ or Goga)

Are you serious? I don't think those teams can continue doing business for a long time, and the Lakers don't have enough to close the gap.

I personally have Suggs as much more valuable than Reaves and I'm not sure Knecht+FRP closes the gap and gets you a decent center on top of that..I'd take Goga..and include the 2 30/32 Swaps to make it happen... Suggs seems to me literally the best possible fit next to Luka in the backcourt

Reaves/Knecht/Hachimura/Maxi/Lakers31/Swap 30 and 32 for Suggs/Goga

Yeah...I love Suggs but ORL's whole team has bottomed out this season. Literally everyone is shooting career lows, so it's difficult to imagine anyone but Suggs having real value out there. The only reason I'd consider moving Suggs is that his playing style makes chronic injuries and lots of missed time a real fear. I really want to get Reaves to ORL and hope AB/KCP can do what Suggs does...we've got too much of the same thing (Suggs is clearly the best of the 3 and has the most offensive upside). Reaves would be just what ORL needs as a backcourt playmaker/scorer that can play a secondary role too...I also think Luka makes him expendable but I don't think Goga or WCJ gets him to ORL.

I'd offer Lively+Marshal for Reaves if Nico insists on competing.
Mavs get a PG whoncan slide to the 2 while Kai is out, Lakers get their center for the future who is a proven fit with Luka.

I think the Lakers should consider some of these trades, both Suggs and Lively/Marshall would be really good fits for Luka...

Reaves/Knecht/Rui/Maxi(3 team)+ Lakers 31 +Swap 30 and 32 for Irving/Lively

Wow, that's really bad for the Mavs. Reaves isn't worth that much, especially with only one extra year beyond this season (there's one more that's player option but he's not going to pick it up, so...).

I love Lively but there are red flags starting to appear about his ability to stay on the court, he missed 30+ games last year and will be 50 this year Reaves has been practically an iron man, he played in all 82 games last year and has 55 this year... I'm not saying that has to be a deal breaker in this specific trade, but the Mavs should definitely be concerned about the injury history, especially where your stars are AD/KI

I personally love Reaves a lot, he is a stud, but for this return I'd ship him. Suggs and Goga is literally what this Lakers team needs. The bench would be a bit short on the SG/SF area, but there are a couple of players this offseason, who can fill that gap.

Something like this:
Doncic / Vincent / Bronny
Suggs / Bruce Brown (MLE) / Milton
James / Taurean Prince (vet min) / Reddish
DFS / Vanderbilt
Goga / Hayes / Trey Jemison (TW)

Let Dallas get Suggs and LAL get Lively. Dallas can help LAL make up the value gap between Reaves or Lively and Suggs.

I’m starting to ger a sense that LA and Dallas would not be able to agree on the Reaves vs Lively value. Plus, and I have said this before, Lakers and Mavs trades will be highly scrutinized from now on, so I find another deal between the two unlikely to happen.

I also said that here that Reaves is what Orland needs and that Knetch would bring a lot of what they need. Both fit well with their timeline and are on very reasonable deals (Reaves at 14m/y, Knetch on a rookie 4m). Of I was LA I’d easily take Suggs plus Goga, and try to keep the swaps or only add in a three team deal where someone eats Maxi contract and gives back a useful combo guard.

Does Detroit likes Reaves enough to give up Duren plus Ivey for that package? Duren is great, but playing behind Isaiah Stewart, a d not sure how Ivey is gonna look like when he is back.

PDX has too many up and coming guards and they seem to love Clingan so not gonna go there.

Anyway, thats a great package but needs the right partner.

Duren is the starting Center, not behind Stewart. Also, the Lakers offered that, or something similar just for Duren, and were rejected. Throw in Ivey as well?

No.

Gobert, not that Minny would need Reaves but Gobert and Luka would be good pairing IMO.

I love Rudy, but I wouldn't call him a vertical threat... I think that when it comes to adjusting with Luka, there are better ones...

Suggs and Claxton would be perfect fits for Luka in my eyes and the right way to surround him long term.

Orlando gets aggressive...

Reaves/Knecht/Turner (ST) to MAGIC

Reaves/KCP/Wagner/Paolo/Turner
Magic FRP/Black/Knecht/Da Silva/Goga

WCJ+ Lakers31 to PACERS
You get a cost-controlled center (if you don't feel comfortable paying 30 to Turner) and a future FRP

Maxi/Vincent/Rui+ Lakers FRP Swap 30 and 32 to NETS

Claxton/Suggs to LAKERS

Hmm. Super interesting. I think Gobert has a bit more value than that. You need more salary coming from LA to don’t you?
As a Celtics fan, I’d start ringing the conspiracy bells lol.
