Salute the Flagg! Mavs win the lottery!

Post#1 » by Astaluego » Wed Mar 5, 2025 7:49 am

With the current team there is a chance that the Mavs won't win another game... anyway it's too late to fall deep into the lottery, I guess under normal conditions we'll end up somewhere between 9/11 worst record.. which would give us a pick in that range(under normal conditions).. so in this scenario.. which prospects in that range would you like the Mavs to select or do you find interesting? or on the contrary do you think we're negotiating the pick? for whom? let's talk about what you think the Mavs will do or better yet...what would you do?

Personally, and given the huge hole we have at the guard position + some interesting prospects in our range (I don't know them alone, I've seen videos and the analysis of the experts) ...
What do you think of (The archetype will sound familiar to you) a European guard of + 2 meters Egor Denim..?
Where is Nolan Traore?

This corrupted league owes us the #1 overall pick.

Nolan Traore stock was much higher before the start of the season, no idea why he dropped.
Ben Saraf is an Israeli PG, Adelson have VERY strong connection to Israel, he plays for a German club I think, I watched him in Europe's youth tournament.

ESPN mock draft has lots of PGs in the lottery.

I know this sounds weird, but since we know that Nico and the owners are known for underhanded moves, what are the chances that they "faked" Kyrie's injury so the Mavs could tank. Nico is very capable of doing this and I wont be surprised anymore.

By faking, I mean knee sprain not a torn ACL. Does the league do check and balance with the Mavs doctors to see if its really a torn ACL and not just a knee sprain? Because Kyrie and AD sitting out would essentially mean Mavs get a top 10 pick. Lively was taken right about that range. It's still good value.

You've written a lot of crap over the years but this one probably beats them all...

If there is anyone capable of doing fake stuff it's Nico. Kidd also asked a player to intentionally bump into him so he could spill his drink on the floor. This is the tandem from hell we are talking about. I dont believe a single word coming from Nico's mouth from here on out.

If Nico said the sky is blue, I will have to actually peek out the window to check if he's telling the truth. That's how much Nico/Kidd have lost my trust.

Egor is the one I'd like to see Mavs draft but there is no way in hell Nico would draft him.
His shot isn't there but he has tremendous size and solid playmaking skills.

Both are a pass.
Both won't make it in the NBA if they don't have the ability to shoot.

This will be like the time Carlisle started G-Leaguers against Orlando. Kylor Kelly left too soon. 48 mins of playing time right there. Let's get it done!

I know it's not a straight up lottery. Like the Mavs have 0% chance to get a number 1 pick right? So what are the chances they land a pick in the range of 6 to 10?

I don't think there's a single elite playmaker in Mavs range. I don't think there's all-nba defender there as well. If the Mavs looks for rotation player, I think you target Kleber's replacement in this range. I want to avoid 6-2 guard due to the trend of growing tall for the whole league. I am not even sure the Mavs could find a rotation piece with the current draft position.

Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey in prime dream scenario. Then, trade for LaMelo Ball.
