I still have no real problem with a player using HGH while injured. I mean, if you potentially have something that could curtail the effects of long term injuries why wouldn't you want every player to use it when injured?

While I haven't read the report the fact that Sandy Alderson and Tony LaRussa are not pointed to in some way makes it a complete joke. Hell not one person in baseball that wasn't a player or trainor had any knowledge?
Sen. Mitchel was a rather accomplished Senator with many historical credits to his name and he will now be known for this joke.
I have little doubt that Clemens took roids, but the reality is they just publicly accused him and have nothing to substantiate it. Basically they issued a report that says some guy said this and Clemens chose not to speak to us so he is guilty.
He is going to sue their balls off for this and they have made it so he has no choice. I just don't understand how baseball can do this to itself over and over. I can't believe they didn't give Fehr and the Union a copy of this before going public.
It is a shame about Andy though.

This report is a complete joke. It should be referred to as the "Radmanski and McNamee Report" because those are for the most part the only two sources that this book has. And not suprisingly, they both have ties to the Yankees. I guess we are supposed to believe that the Red Sox locker room over the last decade has been milk and cookies. McNamee has just a year ago said things on the record that are contrary to what is said in this report, and it's not suprising that he did change his tune because he was threathened with jail time if he didn't comply. Not to mention that he is suspected of date rape.
This report is inconclusive, incomplete and based on conjecture. Mitchell has a nice resume, is an honorable man, but this is a complete witch hunt with flimsy evidence at best with a good amount of players on this list.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

It is, but the guys who talked the most had something to do with the Yankees while Mitchell has relations with the Red Sox. Those two things cannot be ignored in this report, although it doesn't bother me as much as it does other people. I don't take this entire report as anything more than a joke and a farse, so I guess thats why it doesn't annoy me.

especially if mitchell is recommending to not punish these offenders, if no punishment, then why name them in the first place?
being named is enough punishment unless the player could care less about their rep (someone who says i have millions of dollars and am set for life,etc).. reputation >>>> punishment imo.. least if i was a player it would..
