Trench 2 Rebuilt : DT and DE

Now we can truly do anything in the draft.

That is good GMing.

I’m feeling like from what I am reading, the Jarret signing is an overpay when it comes down to projection of what he’s bringing at his age. I don’t quite get it. Hopefully it’s not a contract the Bears need to dump in a year or 2

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JarrGr00.htm

clearly not the same production as far as sacks but everything else is the about the same. He was the primary guy for the Falcons for several years, including this past season. He does from being the main guy to maybe the 4th guy and you still have billings to come in as well. I expect a really good season out of him.

I think one thing is clear with these older guy signings: Poles expects to be a legit contender for a SuperBowl within the next 3 years.

A QB on a rookie scale contract kind of demands that you go for it, imo.

Yeah, I think the idea is to be a playoff team next season and a legit contender the following season.

I don't think he's an NFL starting QB, but he's getting another shot at it.

Clearly the Jets disagree with you. FWIW he was 4-2 last year with 10 total TDs and completed 65.8% of his passes.

One couldn't come up with a stronger endorsement of Dresden's position than this.

Jets have a new coaching staff, which is pretty similar to the current Bears staff.

I’m not completely opposed to this. But having 3 really good corners just feels like a luxury….right?

I would not describe Tyrique Stevenson as a "really good corner." He's just ok and obviously doesn't have his head totally screwed on straight.

It's funny you say that because I kind of think having three really good corners is a necessity in today's NFL.

Commanders just traded for Tunsil. Williams vs McDaniels will be the next Brady vs Manning
