You seen Wolf play? Not just highlights? I think its only because he is a legit 7fter and that his frontcourtmate is even bigger than him that makes him able to be productive.

I would call him a less athletic MoeWagner. Im gonna waot for the combine but i predict he is even less tha average athletically so forget about the boards blocks and movement defense.

He is great offensively though
I've seen him play, my initial eye test is telling me he can't be worse than Dell..... I mean Dell got to be motivated to get 10 boards... Out of the centers in our range I like queen the best but I'm not complaining with wolf.... Athletics not the best but do I need my center to be super athletic or super smart and skilled?

Super Smart and skilled offensively is what I would call Moe. Sucks on D.

As I said, I will wait for the combine measurements especially on the speed and jump part but I have a hard time believing Wolf won't be targeted on D due to "measureables." With what we saw that Paolo cant protect the rim, I think I want my C to be able to do so.
We'll see at the combine, I want the center to block shots but I don't that to be the only thing that center can do well..... Between queen wolf and maluach, wolf has the most double digit rebound games so half the battle is won already

Yeah.. i want boards as well. Just wondering if it isnt because he is a genuone 7fter and his partner Glodkin(??) Is even bigger than him that is why they get all the boards?

It's gonna be hard getting rid of Wendell Carter Jr and KCP because of their contracts with attaching picks to them :banghead:

Rafael Barlowe is really high on Nolan Traore. I think he had him 7th on his big board, one ahead of Kon Kneuppel.

I've realized whoever I like to think of the exact opposite and then make sure they can't shoot but are long lengthy & athletic and that's who we will pick.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Weltman tries to outsmart everyone with huge reaches. Jett, Cole, and Okeke were all reaches.

The irony here is that Jett and Cole were absolutely huge reaches, but they don't really fit the long/athletic narrative. They were projected to be only offense players. A shame Quickley, Pritchard, McDaniels Bane and Maxey went after Cole lol.

Chuma fits the narrative, but to be fair look at the guys taken after him in the 1st. Didn't end up mattering at all.

I really can't figure out Weltman's draft criteria though. Seems like sometimes they value college production and other times just go on upside alone (Franz, AB) . I'm guessing they just randomly fixate on someone and pick them since they picked guys that could have gone in the 2nd in the lottery/near lottery multiple times. I wonder who they like this year.

Early on it was upside only as the goal was to accumulate talent. Isaac and Bamba at 6 as busts, fine as F-Wagner at 8. All three had something unique in their game come draft time.

But now the Magic is essentially set (whether that makes any of us happy), and thus, the draft is now about reducing payroll. That explains da Silva, and I expect more "da Silvas" moving forward.

This year that could mean Rasheer Fleming with the Magic pick and Chaz Lanier with the Denver pick. Actually, Lanier with the Denver pick could really work out for Orlando. Hard to be against the idea of drafting NBA players that can already actually play basketball.

I like Kon Kneuppel because he has a tough mindset like Suggs. He isn't the athlete Suggs is, but he'll dive on the floor and ignite the crowd.

1. He is out of our reach unless we end up top12

2. You want another forward/guard?

One that shoots the lights out. I think he could be in a lineup with Franz and Paolo.

Look at the guard/forwards we've been playing. KCP, Harris, Queen, Jett, and Caleb.

Caldwell-Pope and two FRPs for Simons serves Portland's goal fo not-being-good for 2 years. The Wizards is another team that wants over paid players so that the team can suck. Getting to 95% of the salary cap will require these bottom feeders to have horribly overpriced players on the roster.

He's shooting 35/24/88. Kon is a prolific shooter with Queen's competitiveness.
