Why you think Durrant wants to play with them? I can see the case of Shead, but Durrant probably wants to play with shooters that can do more than shooting.

Ja'Kobe seems like he is much calmer shooting the 3.

17 points (5 for 5 from deep :o ), 4 rebs, 4 ast (2 to) and 1 steal (1 pf) tonight.

Call it a hot take but i'm going to say it: Barring Quickley being moved to the 2, Ja'Kobe Walter should be the 5th starter, at SG.

Him or Ochai are what I want. RJ off the bench. Dick bye bye
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I take him even more seriously now that his hair isn’t falling all over his face. I still can’t take Maxey seriously.

FG% hasn't been great but the 3 point shooting and FT shooting is trending up and he's been in double digits 7 straight games. Also flashing some playmaking too out there, it wouldn't be shocking if he ends up playing over Shead as the backup PG next season. We have a lot of SG's and SF's on the roster and we don't have enough minutes for all of them. Everyone will probably have an opportunity at some point but it's going to be a real battle for backup minutes next season on this team.

Developing Walter as a PG should be the priority unless we get Fears or Harper in the draft. He would be great.

I'm not sure I see it. The dude is wired to score and the handle needs to come a long ways. I see him as a pure 2, but maybe the ball handling can get good enough that he can kind of help initiate/ bring ball up for Scottie or the wings who more or less we run the offence through. But, his offence currently isn't even on-ball in any way really, so he'd have to get there first even considering being a point. He does seem to be improving quite nicely throughout the year, though; Hoping for a big offseason from him. He missed a lot in this years training camp/ preseason time frame, and hopefully he's healthy and in the gym this summer.

He's good at drawing fouls and we don't give him any picks like we do for RJ. He's showing he can shoot, has a smooth pull up jumper, can handle the ball, get assists, and he gets free throws. He's probably our best rookie, even better than Shead, Mogbo, Battle, etc.

agree and its not even a hot take. at just 20, he has been oozing with confidence since day 1 and it's matching his talent

excited to see his development next few years

Ok....would you trade him for Lively?

Lively solidifies the back up C spot and a lob threat. Sign ORob as the #3C...Chomche in the 905 all year.

Then we draft a guard like Fears to replace JKW in the depth chart.

You're really lively about speaking this into existence? (see what I did there?)

My concern with Lively is health. 55 games as a rookie. 32 this year. It would be a big concern for me in trading for him.

I'd rather draft Maluach and keep continuity and development.

If all you're looking for is a backup C, then I would trade Agbaji for one.

I wouldn't trade Ja'Kobe, I think he should go into next season as a starter.

Or, be first off the bench, regardless of who he's coming in for.
If it's for Jakob, then Scottie takes over the Centre role until the set of subs.

Ja'Kobe has usurped Gradey in terms of both short and long term solution as starting SG for this team.

Gradey might have slightly more offensive upside, but JW is the better all around player by far IMO. I still think Gradey has a place on this team but moreso as an off the bench scorer.

Jakobe Walter has that Superstar leader demeanor very calm, steady and laser focus similar to Cade, Kawai, Shai, LeBron, Durant, Wembanyama and few others ironically they're all lifepath number 1s if you believe in Numerology. Not saying he's gonna be a great one but the mentality is there and the talent also.
