don't hate the slayton signing necessarily bc whichever qb we draft will need people to throw to. can't just throw nabers and wan'dale out there.

Paulson Adebo is a good pickup. Him coming off a broken femur is sketchy but I just saw a video of him doing a backflip so hopefully his recovery is going well. Having a CB1 who actually can make plays on the ball will be a breath of fresh air

Depth at DT, OT, and special teams picks ups

Slayton coming back was a bit of a surprise. I saw people guessing he’d land more than he did. Sort of indifferent on the move. I do think he’d produce a lot more with a good QB but his inconsistent hands annoy the hell out of me

We need another receiver. Right now Slayton is our #2. Robinson and Hyatt are not difference makers

Schoen is a bad GM

Then they just dumb. Pay insane amount of money to just lose?

They lost to much money with Watson. Don’t think any owner can just spend this recklessly with the intention of wanting to lose.

You can do all of that not be on the hook for 123 million.

Edit
They also just traded for a QB just now. So looks like I was right.

I'm not sure Kenny Pickett is good enough to make you not take Sanders. I hope you're right though.

I kind of like the Adebo pickup. Not sure we’ll be able to get a starter in the draft given our draft positions. I like the Hudson pickup too. Would like to see Schoen extend Eleumor also.

Slayton’s deal is fine. Right at where the market is for a borderline 2/3 receiver. Don’t know much about the rest of the signees, but we still need a safety and right guard which we may or may it be able to afford after signing a QB. Might have to take a flyer on Russell Wilson who’ll at least be relatively cheap.

Sign Wilson, draft BPA at 3, trade back into Round 1 to draft Dart?

I'm just saying

Pretty good odds Travis Hunter is there at 3

I don't believe he could play full time at both positions, but he would be the best WR in this class, and arguably the top CB too.

Jevon Holland was a surprising pickup for the Giants. He’s a really good player and the defense looks sneaky good right now on paper. Way too much money invested to not be a solid unit next year

its basically down to Rodgers or Wilson.

Huge swing for on field impact. Rodgers with there defense (on paper) they might have a chance to win some games.

Wilson is completely washed they probably don't win enough to save there job.

We should know today.

Then you have a couple options in draft.

Trade up for Ward
Sit at #3 and pick Sanders or BPA (Carter to continue to improve defense) - then take a shot at more of a developmental QB in another round.
Trade back from 3 and try to acquire more picks and probably likely target someone like Dart.

Trading down is a bit tricky though because, if we do that, the rest of the league will know that if they want Dart, they just need to get ahead of our new position.

I say you have to go QB almost. Giants wont be in the running for a top QB next year by all accounts with this FA. You have to get someone on roster. Last chance....

If SS is there at 3... he is the pick.

Giants wont take the chance trading down and then SS becomes good. They would look forever stupid.

If SS sucks, you can justify that you tried. He is nice and you pass on him.... eternal egg on the face.

If the Vet flames out. You also have a young dude in waiting.

Its QB. I cant see them passing on QB at 3 if SS is there. If they do that I will be highly surprised.

Agreed. I think if Ward or SS is on the board, they won't pass that up. Especially if we also have a bridge QB.

The concern is those guys won't be there.

There is a legit scenario though that Ward and Sanders go 1-2.

Look at the teams that are bad that need QB's....Titans and Browns still don't have a legit future or starting QB (they both have yet to do anything to improve the QB room). No I don't think Kenny Picket changes anything for the browns.

You have to brace for the real chance they are both off the board. In that situation do you just go Dart?

As much as I don’t care for the Rodgers antics and everything I agree he’s a much better option.

Getting Ward or Sanders and letting them learn a year under Rodgers would be awesome. Being able to get insight into his process on the field, how he manipulates defenses, his preparation, etc.. that would be massive for a young QB

I’d still like another WR and we need someone to start next to Dex but the roster is coming together a bit. I agree, with the talent on defense and potentially someone like Rodgers with a chip on his shoulder, we may be able to piece some wins together.
