Franchise Pairs by Common Theme - Semi - Dr Positivity* vs durantbird

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG: Kyrie Irving 24' - 19.5 (41.1% 3P%, NBA Finalist)
SG: Joe Dumars 89' - 13.1 (NBA Finals MVP)
SF: Shane Battier 12' - 4.5 (NBA Champion, 38.2% 3P% in Playoffs)
PF: Charles Barkley 93' - 18.1 (NBA MVP, NBA Finalist)
C: Tim Duncan 05' - 15.8 (4th in MVP Voting, NBA Finals MVP)

Bench (G/F): Chris Mullin 99' - 7.4 (46.5% 3P%)
Bench (F): PJ Tucker 22' - 6.0 (41.5% 3P%)
Bench (C): Bo Outlaw 02' - 3.6

Total: 88/88

PG: Irving (37), Dumars (11)
SG: Dumars (26), Mullin (22)
SF: Battier (30), Tucker (18)
PF: Barkley (38), Tucker (10)
C: Duncan (39), Outlaw (9)

Matchup:
- Assignments: Irving vs Thomas, Dumars vs Manu, Battier/Tucker vs Dirk, Barkley vs Prince, Duncan vs Dwight.
- Battier and Tucker are perfect against Dirk, Dumars is a great counter to Manu and he'll also see some minutes on Isiah. Duncan stays close to the rim and wreaks havoc defensively. Nowhere to hide both Isiah and Dirk.
- I like our backcourt and frontcourt fit, Kyrie-Dumars complement each other perfectly, while also establishing a great fitting backcourt to Sir Charles and Timmy. I think Barkley-Timmy form a much more formidable duo offensively, while Kyrie-Dumars vs Isiah-Manu is close. We've got a nice bench too, so I'll give us the overall advantage here.
- Dirk guarding Barkley is a huge plus for us.
- This isn't old Outlaw, but 30 years old and one year away from his absolute peak.

PG: Isiah Thomas (1986: 16.2 FGA)
SG: Manu Ginobili (2005: 10.5 FGA)
SF: Tayshaun Prince (2004: 8.8 FGA)
PF: Dirk Nowitzki (2011: 16.2 FGA)
C: Dwight Howard (2010: 10.2 FGA)

PG: George Hill (2015: 12.4 FGA)
SF/PF: Paul Pierce (2015: 9.0 FGA)
PF/C: Sam Perkins (1999: 4.2 FGA)

87.5 / 88

PG: Isiah Thomas (38) / George Hill (10)
SG: Manu Ginobili (28) / George Hill (20)
SF: Tayshaun Prince (26) / Paul Pierce (18) / Manu Ginobili (4)
PF: Dirk Nowitzki (38) / Paul Pierce (10)
C: Dwight Howard (38) / Sam Perkins (10)

Defensive matchups: Isiah on Irving, Prince on Dumars, Manu on Battier, Dirk on Barkley, Howard on Duncan

- While Dirk guards Barkley, the matchup causes some problems on the other end such as Barkley guarding 3pt line in Prince and Dirk is master of scoring over wings by 2011. Note this is Heat Battier.

- Barkley and Duncan may be more talented than Dirk and Howard but the latter are a perfect fit, and I'd take 86 Isiah and Manu backcourt over Irving and Dumars. Irving passing to the two low post players seems more stagnant ball movement wise while we have great mix of on ball and off ball play.

- We have the bench advantage with peak Hill, Wizards Pierce and Perkins and spacing lineup his 10 minutes gives is preferrable 8th to older version of Outlaw.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
