Even the writer cautions if other offers come in we don’t stand a chance lol. This Durant hype is going to leave you disappointed yet again. Lots of factors point toward a no go here. I do think we’ll be overhauling the roster this summer but doubt it nets us any star players. Maybe some quality well rounded players that better compliments what we currently have that also allows continued flexibility going into 2026. It’s about certain we are avoiding repeater next year. Both picks are going to be crucial to the future roster build. There’s no magic one player bullet for this current build that’s worth coughing up assets.

Im not holding my breath, Pat Riley is washed that’s not even debatable but other offers don’t matter when KD is going exactly where he wants to go and that goes for every team not just Miami

I have a hard time seeming the Nets accept that trade, they are more likely to hang up. The proposed trade makes no sense for them, they are rebuilding so swaps with a top 4 protection really are not appealing at all, also remember the tax money plays a factor here. They would basically be saving our ass for nothing because the swaps wouldn’t make sense since the Nets will have the more valuable picks.

Why in the world would a rebuilding team not take a young guy, an expiring contract and a **** ton of picks swaps lol?

Spoelstra about Wiggins

We want Wiggs to be more aggressive,It’s a different role. Not better or worse, it’s just what we need. We need him to be a downhill guy, we need him to put some pressure on the rim and to draw fouls, help us control the game like that. And he’s embraced that.

Adebayo about Wiggins

The more he gets comfortable, the more you see how gifted he really is,I mean, we know what type of talent he is. ... He’s got all the tools to be a successful player. I feel like once he really gets comfortable here, I feel like he’ll get back to the All-Star Andrew.

Wiggins about his role
It has been great,It’s something I love to do. I love getting the ball, driving, just doing whatever I can to help the team win, most importantly. Just getting adjusted, getting situated. Just trying to figure out all the sets and picking my spots on the floor and building up that chemistry. Seeing what everyone likes to do, everyone’s spots. But it’s coming along.

Wiggins stats after all star break (6 games including the one he got injured and left game while in pain in most of the game)

20.7ppg, 5rbg, 2.5apg, 44fg%, 34 3pt%, 82.5 ft%

I think he gets his rhythm with the games and he will get more efficient.
He has to adjust to the new role and the new team but I know that this role fits him better and he will have big games soon

He needs to build chemistry with Adebayo and Herro.
He seems to have good cooporetion with Adebayo already

Not a fan of the way we use him, he shouldn’t be getting more or the same amount of shots as Bam or Herro. Hope he settles down and finds his role scoring more efficiently on less attempts. Hope he proves me wrong

Wiggins a Tito.

He’s in his 13th year now.

Why would anyone think otherwise of him?

They have cap space which is more valuable than expiring contracts, the swaps won’t convey. This trade make no sense for them and just favors us 100% which is why it’s dead on arrival.

They’re getting a 2nd and young prospect for taking an expiring contract, they aren’t signing anyone worthwhile

Come on, listen to what you're saying, an undrafted player and a second round draft pick is enough compensation makes no sense. Put yourself in the Nets shoes for a second, they would rightfully laugh at the offer and hang up. We are offering nothing of value and getting everything in return, we aren't even offering an actual first round pick.

There’s beauty in pain, there’s beauty in the tank….i mean, um, struggle - Eric Spoeltra
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

People are gonna talk about the legend of Spo's tanking magic when we roll out Mr Harper.

In all seriousness there's absolutely zero to be gained by making the playoffs this season and Spo sees it. If you frame it that way when you watch the games I MEAN EVERYTHING makes sense.

I start cheering the moment Terry hits floor.

Get gentleman’s swept in the 1st round again or better our pick and trade assets by missing the playoffs which will then force the FO to swing big since our future picks to OKC and Charlotte become unprotected? I’ll take the latter every time
