Giannis has bad technique on close-outs & is over-zealous. Jump laterally across a player's path, accept an alter & compel a miss.

This team has been 2 steps fw, 2 back, from the beginning of the Doc era. I may be out until he's fired or the playoffs. Jacoby on the Ringer is right they've put us thru the ringer w/ the lack of consistency. The consistent part is it's dumb &/or slow bball.

"Landing space" is a bit convoluted when the shooter is rising up at full speed going east to west. It was too aggressive on Giannis' part, but that's a dog **** call with the game on the line, IMO. Would Dame have gotten that call?

Also, on a team that has Giannis and Dame, and it's Taurean Prince taking the most shots, there is something really wrong on the offensive end as well as the numerous issues on D. (31-3 on fast break points is consistent with how bad our transition D has been all season). It's killed us on many games, and tonight is no exception.

The real question is why we're all the Bucks dudes lined up at half court to defend??? Just have a line of dudes a step or two outside the 3P line, you know, the area you actually have to guard. HORRENDOUS coaching.

The Bucks aren't quick enough to face guard NBA guards and you expect them to each cover a 10 sq ft area?

Uhh if quickness is an issue, you think it's better for them to have to cover more ground by staying having to stay with fast guards?

You can see the angle players are coming with the ball.

What ended up happening is 4 Bucks players ended INSIDE the 3P line. You had both Kuzma and Prince chasing Mathurin to the opposite corner which is baffling.

No it's not better for them to do what they did. Neither is guarding empty zones when you can overload one zone with a pick or a DHO with our guards unable to get over in time. My point is there was always going to be a decent 3 point attempt. Funny enough the 3 they took was probably the worst of the possibilities.

We weren't anywhere close to Haliburton to foul him because we didn't zone and they walled our players off. He just had a running start into free space.

We need to stop focusing too much on the last play, as it sweeps the other issues under the carpet. Twice we had to come back from being down double digits. It's too much to have to consistently be doing this game after game, because we can't hold a level of high, consistent play across more than about a 8-10 minute stretch at time (and in-between is a mess. Not even just 'holding an end up'. We're getting trounced when not paying in one of our 'good periods'.).

Until we can find consistency, we are nothing in the postseason. It's just another wasted year.

NBA Steve Urkel throws up a prayer and Giannis does the dumbest **** imaginable. You can’t make this stuff up. That W was on our lap and they fumbled it bad. Haliburton is a clown and grossly overrated too btw. I’m not looking forward to the playoffs because there isn’t a chance in hell we’re beating Boston or Cleveland in a 7 game series but I want an Indiana matchup in the 1st round real bad. They inch closer and closer to Boston every time we play them as the team I hate more than anything in sports. Orlando too but now I’m just ranting. Goodnight.

We're not getting Boston or Cleveland so you don't need to worry. We're finishing 5-6 and losing first round.

A zone means you stay in your area. You're not chasing around screens. Players switch on everything. Have a player in the vicinity to alter but not have to make up a bunch of space, like Giannis. And you don't have a guy popping open to the 3 pt line initially.

Why on earth would you contest a prayer of a 3-pt shot like that when you're up 3? You put yourself in a position where there was a 99% chance you would foul a guy on a shot that had probably had a 10% chance of going in. The 10% payer was answered, but you gave the Pacers the opportunity to win the game with a free throw due to your stupidity. And would have given the Pacers the opportunity to tie the game at the free throw line even if the prayer didn't go in.
