Used to love NBA 2k8. I still buy the newer ones but they never stick for me. Might just be over it.

For anyone that's ever played the Football Manager games, which is a super in-depth version of franchise mode but for soccer, it would be so sick for an NBA version of that to come out. They already have a game called Pro Basketball Manager but it doesn't include NBA teams unfortunately.

MyTeam is the disaster. The money-grabbing gets worse every year.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

That guy is insane if he thinks the "Sports Sims" Myplayer doesn't make them money. People live vicariously through it.

I spend about 50 bucks to get my created player to an 85 and then call it quits on the spending because I know there are people willing to drop a fortune to win.

Yes. It seems like IMO NBA 2K24 is better than NBA 2K25. 2K sports recently closed access to their online servers for NBA2K24, so that's that for downloading draft classes and updated created rosters.

Without Live, there is no competition, so they can put out the same crap year after year and get people to buy it based on updated rosters and killing servers of old 2k games.

The last live they made was actually the first decent one they made in a really long time too… people actually still play it. I’m not sure why they gave up.

Maybe not enough investors, your talking about NBA live 19?

Yeah live 19. It was pretty solid

I beg to differ, quite interesting, never heard someone say the opposite so far.

It's always been a dream for me haha

If online and microtransactions didn't take over the GM would be crazy by now, it was on a nice evolution but they stopped to care 10 years ago.

It’s usually for the loud group who cannot adjust to the next phase. You get the same romanticism in fight game genre.

Also those who may be good in one version might not be as good in the next release. It kinda flops back and forth yearly.

As someone who likes the gm mode after buying the last 4 I realized they do nothing to make it accurate even though their game budgets are huge.

Examples are like saying only players with less than three years of experience can sign a 2 way when in reality we have seen NBA players with more experience who sign them in real life. Also the trade logic seems still the same as like 2k17 at its backbone every year. Also they don't take into account picks that are actually owed by teams in the future

Also if you play my team it seems everyone wants to play as dark matter Gheorge Muresan Tacko Fall and Wemby. If I wanted to get a dark matter Gilbert Arenas it seems like I would have had to grind a month without even an option to buy. Like some of your favorites players have weird lockdowns that would require you to eat and breath the game to get.

I find it a great game to casually play after work but when you get online it ends up being against a player that has mastered a superstar players shot and they just kill you with that. Seems like they are playing 12 hours a day against someone who just wants to play casually a few times a week. In that case you always get destroyed.

I also find actual real life basketball style isn't played. It's just let me pick a superstar and master their shot. There are people with actual skill but it's usually a person doesn't want to play unless they can just totally destroy you. If your close they would rather quit the game unless they are beating you by 30 and gloating. People don't want to play competitive close games.

Is 2k25 worth it for 20? Did they fix anything from last year.

Honestly better to wiait another 6 months, what's the last 2k you played?

2k24. I have to admit I liked the bidding on cards market for myteam but it seems they said they were getting rid of the the auction system where you could be up late at night and snag a 95 plus rated for cheap.

I mainly like to sim and wasn't sure if they overhauled that or not. Some of the trade and signing rules werent true to real NBA rules.

They did get rid of it, too many people were complaining that there was no auction house so they brought it back, overall it's better than 2k24, but you might as well wait for 2k26 in September.
