The only guy that matters on this roster that can't play forward is Coby. Everyone else is either decent at forward (Ball, Ayo) or they're outright better there.
Obviously Newell (or whoever the Bulls pick at 8-10) are unknown at the NBA level at this point. That's what prospect are and you hope they develop/grow with the team. But you already know this...
If the Bulls trade for Durant (even though I think Phoenix can do better than what the Bulls would offer) is this the team going into next season?
Durant, Giddey, Ayo, Huerter, Carter, Collins, Patrick Williams, Terry, Phillips and Matas.
That looks like a play-in team to me. After that season Durant is up for a new contract. Would you be willing to pay a 37 year old Durant (at that point he'd be soon to be 38) 50 something million a year? I'm sure he'd ask for two years at a minimum.
