indeed. Only playoff health matters though so hope we will have a bit more luck in the postseason.

Don't know why but I have some 2013 vibes and Caruso/Chet/JDub are very injury prone.

Dieng has looked a lot more composed lately

Might not end up a complete bust

Great team effort

Coach D with some nice line ups to make up from the JDub injury. Chet/Hartenstein worked offensively while Shai was on the bench (even if in a vacuum I don't like when we play both at the same time)

I am over the moon about this team. They continue to impress, even in the doldrums of the NBA season. Last night was a big win and the role players showed up. They are fun to watch and easy to root for. I'm so hyped.

Also, can someone in the media PLEASE start identifying that the other team's best wing plays poorly against the Thunder because of Lu Dort. Ingram 'played poorly', Luka was 'injured', last night Jaylen Brown 'had a bad game'. It's about time somebody realized it's no coincidence that it consistently happens against Dort.

You are right with Lu Dort's defense. But Cason Wallace does also such a phenomenal job on the defensive end. And don't forget Caruso when he is healthy. That's the greatest part of our success.

Agree, Cason is already good and going to be very good.

IMO Joe, Wiggins, JWill are being put in ideal positions to succeed and I wonder if they would be as good on another team. Cason's situation might be different. It feels like he might be able to do more if he had more space to grow.

agree. Wiggins was already very good when drafted but it looks like he learned a ton from Shai / our training staff.

Cason is a very special player. Gonna cost a ton to keep him if he keeps playing like this. He's by far the most talented player we drafted in our rebuild after Chet/JDub.

it's insane the amount of success this team has had on an injury ridled season

presti engineered the best state of a franchise ever in the nba

Gotta be honest that I have some trouble enjoying the regular season right now because I'm just worried about injuries and some bad luck / huge meltdown in the postseason. It would probably be one my biggest dissapointment ever in sports if we don't reach the finals this season because this is one of the best and most dominant team I have ever seen and they just check all the boxes.

That’s just sports, my friend. It’s why rebuilding is somewhat fan. The team is essentially playing with house money.

It would be disappointing if we didn’t win but as long as shai doesn’t have a career altering injury, I think we can survive overcome just about anything long term. I think we have the assets to overcome most anything else.

yeah I just can't remember rooting for a team being in a short and long term situation better than this current Thunder team so expectations are fairly pretty high.

Don't care about another investigation if we play our G league team against the 79ers tomorrow. We got a bit unlucky with the draft picks and protections those last few years.

cason wallace has been great on defense but this year has been a step back for him offensively. he's probably the weakest link offensively of all our rotation players. his 3pt shot has been less reliable obviously and his on-ball possessions have been a mixed bag to put it politely. next season will tell us a lot. he has the element of vertical athleticism at both ends (but esp. on offense) that lu dort doesn't have. it's not surprising when he makes contested layups. if he can put everything together he might surpass lu dort and make the summer 2026 cap decisions a lot easier.

In a perfect world he has his leap just after a relatively cheap contract extension, like 70/5 or something.

cason has played himself into a 20mm apy price tag easily

armchair gms like us might incorrectly believe this to be an overpay but a cason type at 20 mm is a fantastic trading piece, just like dort is now.

fair to assume that Presti wants that Sixers pick to convey with almost our entire roster out but somehow our bench players gonna destroy the 76ers.

I thought we all knew the Thunder bench is better than the 76ers bench. Embiid and PG13 are done for the season. Maxey is out. Oubre is sitting. Chet, Joe and Wiggins are the best player participating in the game.

Yea , our gleague callup will probably find a way to win the tanking Sixers.
