People shouldn't get too excited about CoJo as I have watched a few games of his the last few seasons. He is really not that good. He played good today in a blowout. But, he was nowhere near the reason for the blowout. He is sometimes a competent backup. Sometimes.

AB is an NBA player. Not sure how good he’ll be in the long run but there’s enough to work with to make a long career out of. Jett on the other hand… dude better start hitting shots at a ridiculous clip.

AB is at least a role player rotation level nba guy but Jett is our worst pick since maybe Fran Vasquez. Everyone knew it was a terrible pick the moment it happened and they passed on guys who could have been contributing for us right now. That draft was a complete miss and between that and the contracts Weltman has handed out and the lack of trades to adreess glaring needs, I have no idea how he still had a job

This roster is so poorly built literally our only win condition is Franz and Paolo going for 30 plus every night

Guards scored 33 points, only 9 from the bench. Still worst in rhe NBA by a mile.

I watched the Pelicans feed tonight on League Pass, man, they made us look like a top team in the league. I almost forgot we’ve been struggling prior to this game.

Ive said it all fking year, we dont need a hero, we just need a capable table setter. Get the ball over halfcourt. Get the ball to Paolo and Franz. Derek Fisher 101. Mind blowing that it hasnt been realised and honestly we will probably (sadly) go back to Cole Anthony next game anyway.

What a time to be a Magic fan.

Cole as a starter = You ll lose 90 % of your games, sad that Moses can see it

Pelicans bench:
Cain - undrafted
Robinson Earl - second round pick
Alvarado - undrafted
Reaves- second round pick by Orlando
Mo Bamba- 6th overall pick by Orlando

I'm not saying we should tank, but we can without much effort fall to 8th worst record and have 26% chance at top 4.
I'm not saying we should tank.
I'm not saying we should tank.
I think we should tank

Even in best case scenario, we aren't winning more than 39-ish games this year. For start, we will now lose 3 in a row. Probably in not very nice fashion.
Long term, finishing season with 32-50 record or 38-44 really means nothing.

But the disturbing thing is that the Pelicans bench SMOKED the Magic bench. Thoughts?

39 wins means a 8-7 closeout. I think the absolute max for Orlando is a 10-5 closeout and 41-41. And I do think that is the target.
It has to be; right?

Indeed 1-2 is the best a Homer fan can dream of.

Here I really don't agree. Closing out 1-14 vs. 7-8 would effect the psychology of the forwards over the off-season. And if the dream of a 10-5 closeout happens, oh boy would I imaging that Banchero and F-Wagner would live in the gym all summer.

Box-score thoughts:
Orlando won the FG% battle and won the game.

Those really are the reason the Magic won: they hit their shots and kept the Pelicans from hitting theirs. Simplest box-score imaginable.

The Magic did win the TO-differential battle minus-5, which meant the Magic actually had more FGAs. Interestingly.

Thing is, even if they go 12-3 they probably would fail to avoid play in.
And if they go 3-12 they still can't fall pass 10th because Raptors won't win 8 games ( they played 8 men vs 76ers and won by accident, look at rotation he used  )

I love what Detroit is building. Their management "gets it" and the young-guns on the team are really enjoying themselves right now. My point: the Magic can win out and will probably miss the 6-seed. The Pistons is play really good ball right now. A winning road-record??? WOW!

The final 16 games is really only about if the Hawks or the Magic win the South East to be the 7-seed and home-court in the 1st play-in game (with the "winner" probably finishing with a loosing record).

My bold prediction: Miami will not finish in the top-8 seeds.

EDIT: the winner of the 1st play-in game gets Boston in the playoffs. Ouch. This year one has to favor the playoff 8-seed over the playoff 7-seed. (personally I still don't think the Cavs is a title contender).

Everyone thought Mo was going to come around and he never did even though he was terrible. Jett is in the same exact boat. Eventually, people need to take their blinders off. It should be obvious that he is not an NBA player and won't ever be.

They’re 8-14 in the games Cole has started.

Not exactly 90%.
