AB is an NBA player. Not sure how good he’ll be in the long run but there’s enough to work with to make a long career out of.

LOL. No, there's not. He's had almost two seasons now and there's literally nothing he excels at on the offensive side of the ball. He will be out of the league after his next deal.

I'm not saying we should tank, but we can without much effort fall to 8th worst record and have 26% chance at top 4.
I'm not saying we should tank.
I'm not saying we should tank.
I think we should tank

Even in best case scenario, we aren't winning more than 39-ish games this year. For start, we will now lose 3 in a row. Probably in not very nice fashion.
Long term, finishing season with 32-50 record or 38-44 really means nothing.

Regardless, they’re not going to do it.

Man, if the Magic can get some quality role players in the offseason around Suggs, Franz, and Paolo next season should be amazing. The off season is vital.

Those are All-NBA numbers and a season’s worth of that gets you into MVP talks if your team is good enough.
Beautiful

The people saying recently to trade Paolo have no long term perspective and overreacted. Paolo and Franz have not been the problem despite their shooting struggles. The real problem is the team around them, the absolutely terrible guard rotation, no PG, no 3pt shooting or spacing, and unreliable bigs.

Ive said it all fking year, we dont need a hero, we just need a capable table setter. Get the ball over halfcourt. Get the ball to Paolo and Franz. Derek Fisher 101. Mind blowing that it hasnt been realised and honestly we will probably (sadly) go back to Cole Anthony next game anyway.

What a time to be a Magic fan.

Cole as a starter = You ll lose 90 % of your games, sad that Moses can see it

They’re 8-14 in the games Cole has started.

Not exactly 90%.

Don't look at the record in the games Paolo has started this year...

Anthony Black is closing in on Cole's career 3-pt%. 344 to 340. Black needs to let them fly more.

Jett is leading AB is FT% this season 750 to 746. AB has shot better than Jett in everything else for 2 seasons.

And that guy is 34 years old, playing on his 7th team and career bench player on 7 ppg, 52,5% TS.

But hey, who needs point guard when you have "two point fowards " , better sign 5 more 3 and D players

They've managed to win a couple games that were scheduled losses.

Yeah, agree with everything you said. The problem is not Franz, Paolo, or Suggs but the role players around them. Get some decent role players and the Magic should do well next year.

On the road at Bucks and on the road at Pelicans. The way they've been playing I wouldn't have expected to win those games.

But they also lost 3 at home that they should have won (2 vs raptors & bulls).... Losing those 3 games really hurt them securing that 7th seed and home court thru play in.

There are no more scheduled losses or wins for this team...every night is an adventure.

There are quite a few "fair to good teams" who, inexplicably, are awful...Injuries are always the biggest factor but:

NOLA shouldn't be this awful
TOR shouldn't be this awful
PHX shouldn't be this awful
MIN and LAC are fighting for play-in spots
UTA and others are obviously tanking hard, but there are good players on that roster too
DAL obviously a victim of injury murder combined with Nico suicide

wild year

Very nice win, Paolo and Franz dominated, the Pels just looked helpless against them. Our defense looked very solid, Carter, AB and KCP did a nice job on that end. And it was very good to see the team finally push the pace more.

But It's sad that Cory Joseph, a career journeyman who was known in his prime more for his D than his playmaking skills, is the guard with most playmaking ability on this roster and the only one willing to push the tempo. Also, Jett looks like a bust, his only chance to find a place in the league is by being a sniper but he keeps bricking wide open looks.

Have to give Paolo credit. For last 2 weeks he has been much better, basicly he is back to start of the season form.
Unfortunayely its still not enough om most nights. Minnesota doesn't have a deep bench, yet their 3 players outplayed everybody Mosley had available in his bench unit total.
Can't kill Magic for this one. Back to back game on a road which would be 50/50 on Franz normal scoring production.

Return to Orlando Magic
