On this offensively challenged team, I'll EASILY take a guy who shoots 58.4 TS% on 32 shots/11 FTs.

It’s a little skewed because of the very end when the Wolves basically conceded…

A layup up 9
Free throws up 7
Another layup up 10
A dunk up 9
Another layup up 9

That’s 4 made baskets and 3 made free throws all coming when it was a three possession game and the Wolves weren’t really defending the rim all that hard.

Franz got one too so I’m not blasting anybody, just pointing out facts.

Honestly though, felt silly not to try to keep feeding Houstan if he’s shooting that well. CoJo should’ve been setting him up and exploiting that.

Until the layup line layups at the end he was like what 33 points on 33 possessions used? Even with the ending 43 on 39 possessions (2 free throws= 1 shot) , with some below average defense? It wasn't a great game IMO. Not bad, but you shoot that much you're going to score something. And he has to carry a heavy load but he didn't look to pass at all at the end.

i mean at that point he had to do it....he was supposed to be getting more rest but had to come back in the game a bit earlier than usual because nobody could score....so when that happens yeah, you're the best player and at times you have to put the team on your back when everyone else having a tough shooting night...

I don't disagree in theory, I'm just saying objectively what I know about what kind of shooting efficiency wins games in current year NBA I just don't think it was a great game even with all factors considered and I think he got way too ISO happy when it was close. IDK just my objective opinion. He was still one of our better players tonight, because most players sucked outside of Caleb being incredibly hot and adding 4 steals on top.

I feel like every time the Magic loss it’s somehow Paolo’s fault. He built a lead until the fourth then as soon as he is taken out they all but lose the lead. Just trying to figure out how he is to blame.

Our bigs and Franz are why we lose this. The bigs gave nothing and Franz was terrible.

I do not think Paolo had a bad game, I'm more so just pushing against the fact that I also don't think his game was that good especially if you take away the buckets they gave him when the game was over. And I do not like he played down the stretch when it was close regardless of if we think his teammates suck.

They should've kept Black in.

I’m still firmly on the fire Mosley train. This team just doesn’t defend or rebound to the previously established standard anymore.

This is the 6th time since Paolo came back on 1/10 that they’ve shot the ball really well from 3PT and still lost the game.

That just can’t happen. When you’re already offensively challenged most nights as is, you can’t keep losing the games you do actually shoot the three well.

It was on Franz. 4/16 & 5 TOs

His legs looked dead, he wasnt getting usual elevation on drives.

It was a road B2B though, lets hope he turns it around next game. I'm hoping this is him getting it out his system and he kills it against the Cavs on national TV

All I know is that I've been on him about his efficiency from day 1 and he's finally putting it together and figuring out how to consistently score efficiently. AND he's rebounding the last few games. I'm not expecting good defense out of him if he's doing those other things. Now, what I can't accept is when he trails everyone on defense... but what we've been seeing as of late is a max contract guy. The others need to step the F up.

McDaniels is an all-defense level player, no doubt about it. But Franz got his max contract. If he can't effectively score on Jaden, fine, go find another way to help your team win.

I'm still a firm believer once/if Paolo gets better players around him, will open up so much for him.

I like Paolo I don't want to have the Paolo fight, I believe in Paolo.

I'm just pushing back against the fact that a point per possession in current NBA isn't good. Yes he ended up padding it in the end and getting a decent TS%. I have no interest in a Paolo debate, that's all I'm saying.

Franz and the centers lost this game, they were awful. CoJo also could not move in the 4th lol.
