Don't worry. There will be more losses incoming.

Probably more wins too.

Need to make sure they keep that play-in spot, it's invaluable.

Can't argue with him on the growth of the young players...

However I think the main answer to why are we trying to win is because they are sitting Vuc.

If Vuc and his I'm done with this team attitude we're out there we would be losing a lot.

Whether they think are tanking by sitting Vuc or the they know he'd make us lose and so they are sitting him to get to the play in I'm more sure.

Some potential tank playoff games today.

Nets vs Hornets. Sure a Nets win. Hornets are on 2nd game of b2b, although Cam Johnson is out, so who knows.

Raptors vs Jazz. Raptors are on 2nd game of b2b, but the Jazz have been fielding their G-league team, but the Raps are holding Quickley out of this game, so again, who knows.

But, if the Bulls beat the Heat today (probable) then none of those games really matter.

True. And to be clear up front, it’s just a stock answer any NBA GM would give, and as many have given, when in similar situations.

But if it is his sincerely held belief, it misses the point regardless of the truth of the player development part.

The question is which is more important to the long term strength of this franchise? That postseason experience for this group, or higher draft odds or even outright remaining in tbe lottery at all?

I know my answer.

The dream is dead. There's no way we miss the play-in at this point. Just have to pray we don't win our way in to a meaningless first round sweep.

Damn.

The Nets tank game is strong, not sure how they lose to the Hornets who had no LaMelo and started a guy who's played 9 games all year and has shot 37% from the floor (he had 14pts today on 6/16 shooting).

Raptors will probably fold against the Wizards somehow too.

Unlike the Bulls the Nets understand how important the 2025 draft is to their teams future.

The Raptors seems to be winning and might beat the Wizards again tonight.

The hope is still there.

And now they're losing.

There is no hope. Best just to get used to the fact that the Bulls are going to be picking in the 8-10 range (assuming they don't win both play-in games).

Funny thing is that I think that the org thought that sitting Vuc would be a key tank move, but IMO it showed just how much of detrement to winning Vuc actually is. He needs to have plays run for him to score and he is just bad on the defensive end. Collins is no star, but just having a C who can do basic basketball things without needing the ball in his hands says everything. I saw the same thing when we had Smith in the game instead of Vuc.

Hawks got the first pick from the 9th spot last year.

We need to honor D Rose by winning the lottery!

Yep. I’m convinced we won’t be able to trade him either. He is showing how much of a losing player he is. He will come back ruin chemistry and tank us with a play in loss though.

I think we are stuck with Vuc until the TDL. Which means we will be mediocre again next season.

It's great that you're enjoying it. More power to you.

Myself, I want longer term success, the team has no long term star or anyone even close to that. The Bulls could very well make the playoffs as a sub 30win team, that isn't a good thing. At least, not in my opinion.

The Bulls look to climb to 9th spot in the lottery, but they'll likely make the playoffs and get the 15th pick and swept by the Cavs for their troubles.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying what Giddey is doing currently and I wanted Matas before the season even started, but I'm just not enjoying the Bulls right now, I haven't for a while and it's just getting worse.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, would rather them be playing competitive and losing and have better odds in the lottery! The next month is going to be interesting keeping an eye on these prospects rising and falling on the boards.

Things are getting spicy.

4-game winning streak

We are 10th
We are 1 game behind Miami for the 9th spot in the playin

We are 2 games behind Orlando for the 8th spot...if we make the playoffs and don't go on a magical run we talk about for our lifetimes, we would pick 15th.

The East is just so bad the jump from 9th to 8th is going to probably be the difference between picking 11th or 15th.

We are sandwiched between Portland and Miami right now
Portland has lost 5 in a row
Miami has lost 6 in a row

Orlando is 3-7 over the last 10.

The somewhat good news is that I'm not sure there will be a big difference in player at 7 vs 15.

In addition you can't really blame the leadership....we are winning without our best players playing.
