Realistically, even with all of Zion's injury history and "work ethic" questions, what could Heat offer? Same as any deal. Other teams have more picks and better prospects.

If Heat had assets to get a deal done I think they would have already made one.

Haslem recently said he wants to bring back WNBA to Miami.

I remember we had the Miami Sol some years ago. I looked it up. Mickey Arison shut it down after only a few seasons because it was losing money.

And I said to myself, "Yep", sounds about right for Mickey Arison.

Yes we should swing for the fence with Zion

What we thinking asset wise? If we get Zion that’s an end to Ware starting so might as well include him and maybe save a 1st in the process.

What’s his contract stipulation for games played?

Micky and Patrick are not good at their jobs if they’re not being gift wrapped players from Wade

Jimmy covered up a lot of Pat Riley's mistakes in this roster building. He single-handedly led the Heat to two Finals appearances.
Now that he’s gone, this team lacks a true star to lean on.

Given everything, I really believe he deserves that extra year, even if we don’t win.

Memory is a funny thing....

Jimmy was the 4th leading scorer in the 2020 Confrence Finals, and had 3 PPG more then bam in the 2023 Semi, and 4 ppg more then Caleb in the 2023 Confrence Finals. It was close enough there was alot of talk about Caleb actually being the unofficial playoff MVP.

Even if you wanted to make an argument Jimmy had some massive unrecordable impact on the game, you would be super hard pressed to make a plausible argument that Jimmy single-handedly dragged the Heat to two finals.

Hell it would be a much easier argument to say that team was talented enough a better player could have peaked that group higher.

Jimmy single handedly backpacking the Heat is always over exaggerated because of that Bucks series but the roster wasn’t that good at all, the first year of the Jimmy era was the best roster we had the entire time, it should’ve been the worst. This front office fumbled that build every step of the way and now look at them lol

In fairness, they did force feed the ball to Bam late in the game last night...he passed the ball back out at least once, dribbled one off his leg, missed a shot, then had it tipped out of his grasp and Larsson saved it from being another turnover. All in a condensed series of possessions.

Bam has not been immune to the funk that the rest of the team is mired in.

I am sure Spo is not blameless, but I really do think the bulk of Bam's lack of shot attempts is on Bam's shoulders. Bam needs to change his mindset and play more like he does when Herro is out. He needs to realize he is the best miss match on the team and get greedy. ..... but we say the same thing every year, Bam says the same thing every year....it is a never ending cycle.

We have all watched guys who simply get "their shots" on the Heat. Wiggins is just the latest dude...once he gets inside, that ball is not getting passed back out. He does it with impunity.... Bam needs to watch and study that...then go do it himself.

Definitely didn’t force feed but I agree he didn’t do much with his limited touches, but that’s part of the issue. So we don’t give him the ball all game outside of the start of the 1st quarter somewhat and then we expect him to bail us out in the 4th where he has 0 rhythm? No other team is pulling that nonsense with their best players, even Herro who’s been getting shots up all year is now deferring more and more. This should be Bam and Herro 18-20 shots a night, everyone else fall in line

Wiggins is also trash. The guy was never efficient during his career, he's not a complete disaster because he's somewhat acceptable defender but 30m for that is really tough.

I don't want Bam taking tough contested mid range shots. Bam needs to exploit matchups and attack the rim when he has an advantage, he's sadly not capable of doing it and his shot diet is still crap even during his "great strech", he was just making really difficult mid range shots, nothing changed with Bam.

I’m in tear down mode, but if Mia decides to go the opposite route, getting Zion is an agenda I’d support.

Go get a young vet who actually has a “no ceiling” upside.

I’d support going after Lamelo too

Heck, try to get both

Bam isn’t aggressive and never demands the ball or forces mismatches. He is the best role player in the NBA that’s his whole deal

We have a lot of great role players

Just need a real star

Then trade his ass we could get a huge haul for a dude who has been carried by the schematic brilliance of Spo his entire career
