After that, its a crap shoot.

At this point I feel like we are better off just trading the pick among a package of other stuff in order to land as big of a heavy-hitter as possible in the offseason. Lean into a re-tool.

Maybe Charlotte is willing to part with Lamelo Ball. He’s basically the new Damian Lillard

If we are trading the pick I would try to make a godfather offer for someone like Giannis

Either a big package for a certified super star or trade the pick + filler for a young star

Kyle Flip (age21) is shooting .610 TS as a rookie on 15 PER. Makes me doubt Mogbo (age:24) was the right pick. I would imagine that Barnes would trip if we didnt pick him.

mogbo is a srp; anything he can give you is a home run. he's also a different player than flip. he's more defense focused.if you want someone like flip, there is kalkbrenner and ivisic in this year's draft that should be available at our pick.

Yup, they are opposite players and stats are not everything. However, in the last 8 games, Flip average 17pts on 51%FG, 8.5 reb in 25min. I watched the 2024 second round event and the announcers were stating Flip was the best player available. Im concern on Barnes impacting how we draft.

i don't think scoring well towards the end of a perennial tanking team means much tbh.
i dont think masai drafted him just because that's what barnes wanted. he was already on their list most likely. also flip had some baggage as i recall. he fell big time in the draft

So what you’re saying is that the best chance of getting an allstar is to secure a bottom 3 pick?

8 having a 3.33% chance and us potentially very likely picking at 8 is genuinely funny.

That is sadly misleading.

How many of those all-star became one with their First Team?
How many of those were succesful with their first team? (conference finals, Finals or chip)

Literally over 85% of all-stars make an all-star game with the team that drafted them. That number drops to around 80% if you want to exclude players traded on draft day (ex. Luka)

Just this year 23/26 all-stars had made the all-star team with their first team. Last year it was 22/26.

So yeah, draft position is important.

Quickly is resting. RJ questionable with illness. Occhai is questionable too so maybe he is back.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….
