GSW are just extremely lucky or good lately. He forgot the Lakers are in free fall without LBJ. Ja is starting to get back to form. My take would be OKC-MEM- DEN(tough schedule) - HOU - GSW - MIN - LAL - LAC - SAC - PHX. I won't be surprised PHX overtake SAC.

Lakers could be looking at 40-29 and still have games vs HOU, GSW, and MEM. Although the 2 games vs OKC maybe tank games as it's very late in the season.

Lakers play DEN tonight, and Luka has been rules out, so it’s looking like a fourth straight loss for LA.

Wolves now won 7 in row and was hoping that is enough to catch GSW or HOU, except GSW has a 6 game winning streak and HOU has a 5 games winning streak. HOU is also up to 3rd place. It will be hard for Wolves to catch HOU and GSW. At the same time, HOU, LAL, and MEM aren't falling fast enough.

I disagree. LAL just lost back to back. They have another back to back to with only 1 days rest. Then they get another day and play the Nuggets and Bucks again back to back. Lakers are 40-25 while we are 39-29. I think we could easily gain 3 games on them in the next week (assuming we can beat the Pacers and keep taking care of business.) Oh, Lebron is out for all 4 games, and Doncic is likely out for the back end games. I think both GSW and Wolves catch the Lakers who are likely a play in team.

Bulls shooting lights out from 3s in 1st qtr vs HOU. It seems Coby White only plays well against Twolves, he sucked so far.

Very, very bad night for the Wolves. Plenty of opportunities to improve in the standings, and all the teams we needed help from melted down either late or from the start.

No help from anyone today. So tough to catch a game or two on HOU, MEM, and GSW.

We are both wrong. Poole hit 4 3s in the fourth including a game winner. Denver loses to the Wizards. That is 25 losses on the Nuggets.

Even though DEN has the same record as all those other teams, I still think they are better and won't fall to #7. The craziest thing is now HOU is in second place. Did anyone see that coming? LBJ is almost ready to come back, so, there is going to be crazy how #2 to #7 will shake up. I just wish we had won a couple of those close games vs HOU, GSW or MEM.

Murray hurt his ankle and wasn’t moving well. Joker has a bad ankle and wasn’t moving well end of game. Gordon is still not 100% and missed the game. I think it is possible Denver drops more games like this. 4 ahead is not insurmountable, especially if we can put another loss on them.

Among all the playoff teams, Rockets are the team which is most likely gonna underperform in playoffs. Their half court offense is not good...their shooting numbers are poor. The main reason why they have been good in regular season is due their rebounding, especially offensive rebounding which gives them lot of extra possessions.

They were the anti-Wolves in that winning a lot of close games. I think a big part of it is being lucky but they are aggressive. Fortune favors the brave.

I finally plug in the remaining schedule of Western teams, take into account of schedule strength and games against each other. Here is my weather report. It's as good as any of those 50% chance of showers predictions. Keep in mind the win total for all teams add together may not equal as it's a projection of individual teams.
MEM - 51, HOU - 51, DEN - 51, GSW - 49, MIN -49, LAL - 49.

MIN will have 4 losses out of 14 games for the remaining season. One to tanking teams and 3 between (2 IND, PHX,DET, DEN, MIL, MEM). Actually my math said 3.5 games, so good possibility to climb above GSW.

Lakers are going to finish with a 9-8 record assuming LBJ still out a few more games.

Suns look like they can’t even beat the LeBron-less Lakers. Jaxson Hayes may have 20. Awful.

Yeah, awful defense and offense. Can't run even simple plays and can't rebound

If we end up at 7, do we want to match-up against Dallas or Suns?

Doesn’t matter we should destroy either of them.

We would be playing LAC or SAC. Hope we don't get to SUN or DAL (that means lose to LAC and fall to #8). I still take DAL but I think it's going to be SAC or SUN.

For some reason I keep thing 7/10 and 8/9. I'm a little slow.

Nah, some leagues do stuff like that. I like the way the NBA structured it because 7-8 get two bites at the apple, and at least one home game.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
