Joan Beringer, C, Cedevita Olimpija (France)
Slovenia
True Shooting%:
59.2%

Scouting report: Beringer continues to draw a significant audience of NBA decision-makers to Ljubljana, Slovenia, and just had one of his most impactful games of the season with a dominant defensive display in the EuroCup playoffs. Beringer's agility covering ground on the perimeter and rotating to protect the rim gives him significant versatility to tap into long term, helping him post the highest block percentage of any projected draft pick on either side of the ocean.

With Cedevita eliminated from EuroCup competition, his team is now fighting for seeding in the Adriatic league playoffs (slated for May), which NBA executives will heavily scrutinize once teams fully turn their attention to international play with college basketball's season ending next month.

Danny Wolf and Collin Murray Boyle both stand out via this metric...and they'd complement each other very well.

He's a very good all around player and leaving Colorado and transferring to Colorado Springs was the best decision of his career.

I think Danny Wolf goes in the second round now and not the first. We'll see if Landry Fields values the second round or not.

Top 50 prospects to watch in March Madness

30. Bennett Stirtz, PG/SG, Drake

Height: 6-4 | Junior | TS%: 60.8%
First game: No. 11 Drake vs. No. 6 Missouri, Thursday, 7:35 p.m. (truTV)

Stirtz, the player of the year in the Missouri Valley Conference, leads all Division I players averaging over 40 minutes per game. His size, feel for the game, unselfishness and competitiveness are attractive traits with the advanced playmaking ability he displays operating out of pick-and-roll. NBA analytics models love his statistical profile. His production and efficiency sparkle, adjusting for Drake's tempo -- ranked as the slowest-paced team in college basketball, putting his per-possession ability to rack up points, assists, rebounds, steals and free throw attempts (while hitting 39% of his 3s and 79% of his free throws) in a different light.

Facing just one other NCAA tournament team all season (Vanderbilt), teams are interested in getting a better gauge on Stirtz's ability to create efficient offense against longer, more athletic opponents, as he struggles to separate from his first step and finish in traffic in the paint, as well as hold his own defensively with his thin frame. -- Givony

T Sorber is not my favorite Center prospect, but he'll be an above average Starting Center in the league...eventually.

Spoiler:
23. Atlanta Hawks (via LAL)
Carter Bryant | 6-8 wing | 19 years old | Arizona

Bryant has come off the bench all season for Arizona but has been a massively important player for the Wildcats. They don’t win nearly as many games or earn a No. 4 seed if he doesn’t come in and play hard defensively while providing a modicum of shooting. The stats don’t look it, as he’s averaging just 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds, shooting 47 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3. However, the Wildcats are drastically better with him on the court than off it, and he’s been seriously disruptive as a player on defense averaging one steal and one block per game in just 19 minutes. He looks like the exact kind of big wing NBA teams are constantly searching for. Yes, it would probably behoove him to return to school. However, scouts are excited by his tools and are intrigued to see if he can be a serious defensive playmaker as a 3-and-D style weapon.

J. Kyle Mann wrote:Liam McNeeley | Wing | UConn
Height: 6-7 | Freshman | TS%: 54.6%

McNeeley came into this season as a “pencil him in” prospect, someone we all but knew would be in the mix for a spot in the draft lottery, largely because of his pedigree: He was immensely successful at prep powerhouse Montverde Academy next to a slew of other projected first-round picks. While he’s not in danger of falling off the map, he has gradually slid down my board this season.

[H]is adjustment to the athleticism of high-major competition has been much bumpier than expected. He avoids making mistakes or losing sight of his responsibility, but his margin for error on defense is small because he’s rarely making an impact with his hands. On offense, he’s often bothered by length in the restricted area because of his limited creativity as a finisher, so he’ll jump farther from the basket off one foot to avoid a defender, which is likely why his inside-the-arc numbers have been so bad. A 44.1 2-point percentage is … alarming. I have a hard time believing he’s as bad a shooter from 3 as the numbers would indicate, although they’ve been consistently meh (33.9 percent in non-conference, 35.4 percent in conference play). McNeeley is a smart player, and I have faith that he’ll figure something out—it’s just going to take some work.
