Gotta hit the weights hard in the offseason. Needs to be able to go up strong and finish through contact.

I never got the flack this kid got. He's not wemby. But this kids gonna be good! How good is the question. I think this off-season is gonna be the most important thing for him. Can he get a trainer, strength guy and a nutritionist to really dial in this kid. Man if he can really put on some LB the right way, get stronger the right way, man if this kid comes in next year 15lB heavier lean that will be a good sign.

I don't see him having the body type to put on that weight tbh. I get the obsession about weight, but I'd love to see him improve his skill, feel for the game and touch around the hoop. If he can convert more bunnies he's a 20 to 25 ppg scorer easily. I would also like to see him improve his shooting.

Sarr is shooting 44.2% on 2s. What 7 footer has shot that bad on 2s?

I talked to a buddy of mine about this. He's got good wife sloped correctly shoulders and he's got wider hips than you think when he's not in BB attire. He has the frame to put on weight if you do it correctly and targetedly with proper time and attention to our the weight where it needs to go. He needs to focus on leg day but protecting the Knees and joints, four arms and traps. He's got a better frame than one thinks he can definitely get to 235-240 lean by the end of his first contract. Id like to see him come in at 215 next year.prime1time wrote:gambitx777 wrote:I never got the flack this kid got. He's not wemby. But this kids gonna be good! How good is the question. 215 by next year? How much do you think he weighs now? I just looked his weight up and we have him listed at 205. I thought he was heavier. I think he can get to 215.

Re: Alex Sarr
Look at photos of Giannis as a rookie. He was a skinny 19 yr old. No reason that Sarr can’t put on muscle similar to what Giannis has.
More muscle will help Alex finish in the paint…and improve his 2pt. %.
BTW, Giannis shot .440 on 2s his rookie season. Sarr is shooting .442% on 2s.

Re: Alex Sarr
If you look at what they did with Giannis obviously a lot of attention was paid to the core and biceps but they built his four arms his traps look like bill.goldberg in the 90s and his legs are double what they were but they clearly focused below the knees.DCZards wrote:Look at photos of Giannis as a rookie. When he was drafted he was 6'9 190. He is now listed at 6'11 242.

Without getting too into the weeds on this one, Bi-Acromial Breadth (Shoulder width) Chest/Wrist/ankle circumference, and Hip width are the best indicators for potential growth.
In looking at Sarr and his measurements (7 w/o shoes, 224 pounds with a 7'4 wing and 9'2 reach), he is a plus (But not Freakish) in his frame in regard to shoulder & hip width, along with his wrist/ankle circumference.
His build is ALMOST identical to Giannis, but even closer to Tyson Chandler (Same height/weight/wing/frame).
Like Sarr, Chandler weighed 224 but played his entire career from 21-30 at ~240lbs. In his early 30's he played at 250-255, but I would expect much of the same for Sarr.
I expect him to be 225-230 for next year, putting on 3-4lbs per year for the next 3-4 years before settling in at 240ish.
Again...he's no Evan Mobley...hes got a much bigger frame.

Giannis was 6'9 190 pounds as a rookie. Sarr is 7' 224 pounds. Also Giannis didn't get a lot of touches in his rookie year. Not a great comparison

Re: Alex Sarr
Per 36, Alex is averaging 16 pts, 9 rebs, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.
Yes, there's plenty of room for improvement, but those are damn good numbers for a raw rookie who is one of the NBA's youngest players.

Maybe we had his phone, his burner, and his porn phone in his pocket, a back pack and a leather jacket on. Look at his legs no way hes 224 and 205 is his official weight.tontoz wrote:gambitx777 wrote:Alex is listed at 7'0 205 right now.tontoz wrote:

So when was his weight taken for the "official" listing? You don't even know. Most likely it was from one of his previous years as a pro.
Bub and Kyshawn are also listed below their combine weights, the difference just isnt' as big.
I stopped paying attention to "official" listings a long time ago. I remember Josh Childress and Iggy measured the exact same height at the combine 6'5.75" without shoes. Iggy was 'officially' listed at 6'6 while Childress was listed at 6.8".

Combine measurements will always be more truthful assuming players can’t game the system like max vert. Sarr is not a stick figure
