Random: Players with most made threes off the bench since Sam Hauser was signed, minimum 40% 3FG%...

Image

For guys who's played at most 16 mpg, Hauser has 100+ more made threes than the next guy (Aaron Holiday). Worth noting that he spent his first year as a two-way and only played 158 minutes for the big club that season.

From list above, I've had interest in bringing in Burks, Kennard, pre-washed Ingles, Powell, and Trent for the Celtics at some point. Hopefully Brad can land one of those at the minimum lol.

Will Porzingis play another game this season?

He's upped his workout in Miami and reportedly seems to be getting closer to a return.

11th straight playoff appearance for the Celtics, longest active such streak in the league. There's an argument to be made that the Cs have been the 2nd most consistent/stable franchise behind the Warriors since they traded KG/PP to the Nets. One title, two finals appearances, six ECFs, and missed just one postseason.

Fun fact: Only 7 East teams have made the conference finals during that 11-season span.
Not-so-fun fact: The Celtics have lost more conference finals series (11 than they've won (12) since the league moved from having to divisions to having two conferences in 1970-71.

The biggest concerns I have going into the POs are
1-Brown's uneven play which has gone unnoticed in the general media.
2-Our bench's ability to produce against elite teams (Pritchard, Hauser in particular).
3-Porzingis' availability and softness.

If Brown can get back to last year's playoff level, I like our chances, otherwise, it's going to be a struggle after Round 1 I fear.

The 16 wins in the postseason are still the priority but 60-win season sounds nice too as a side mission even while resting guys who need resting.

Such an easy schedule to finish the season. 11-3 is doable to get to 60. @SAC, @MEM, @ORL, and a random cupcake team on a heater seem to be the ones that could trip us up.

I’d rather get close and get my guts ripped out than suck.

looking like it's going to be Atl or Orlando in rd 1. Which team is the tougher matchup come playoff time? Personally I think Orlando would have been a top 5 seed if Banchero was healthy. I'd take Atl , although it won't be a cake walk. That one seed is pretty much getting a bye week in rd 1 vs the Heat/Bulls

Cliff Levingston coached a semi-pro team here for several years and used to see him at a diner my parents went to almost every Monday. Super cool guy who got a kick out of me asking him how his view when he was falling his teammates watching Bird light up his Hawks lol.

Don't look now, but PP is currently 6th in effective FG%, 11th in 3pt FG%, 15th in 2pt FG%, 14th in TS%, 6th in 3pt FGs, 11th in offensive win shares, 14th in win shares/48, 8th in offensive rating, 19th in TO%, and 3rd in 3pt PFGs per 36 and per 100 possessions--in the league.

Celtics have plenty of talent, but overlooked traits have them thriving

https://sports.yahoo.com/article/celtics-plenty-talent-overlooked-trait-101125262.html

Detroit coach J.B. Bickerstaff, whose Pistons got thumped by Boston in a 24-point loss in December in which the Celtics recorded 34 assists, one off their season high, called the Celtics “one of the most unselfish teams” the Pistons had seen.

“I know this sounds crazy, but there aren’t that many teams that will just throw the ball to the open man,” Bickerstaff said then. “That shows the ultimate amount of trust in team. … They just seem like they care about winning more than anything else.”

I like JB. He just can't finish the job getting his teams over the hump.

I think a lot of that unselfishness is every core rotational player on the team has been paid so what's the sense in being selfish. Now, I know people say the rich always want to get richer, but when the core 6 are or will be worth over 200mil when their contracts are up, I think their families can live well for a few generations. :D
