Injury will force Doc into playing Giannis centre line ups. Giannis will need to get his act together.

I'm not a fan of Giannis having to play the 5 down the stretch. It's all about Giannis staying healthy for the next month.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Uh, oh. Bad timing. Bobby's not back for a while. Might want to use our hardship exemption now. In the meantime got to see more of those Giannis 5, Kuz 4 looks. That's a silver lining.

But what does Sims need his thumbs for? He doesn't shoot & can't catch as is. Just wrap it up, dunk lighter, & tap rebounds. Then move your feet on d.

Pete Nance better do some damn push-ups.

This should be an opportunity for Chris Livingston, really.

An opportunity to be released and replaced with a center.

Someone who's the closest thing to Sims.

We had a weird stretch when bobby was out with his injury and had no backup for brook and giannis. Ideally we would just run giannis at the 5 against some of these smaller teams but we haven’t seen much evidence doc will do it. Can we pick up someone like moses brown in the meantime?

That doesn't mean Miami, which is not on a rebuild, wanted Middleton. They obviously wanted a decent player and got him.

The Bucks not only didn't have that to offer, but even if they did, how do you get under the second apron by adding on salary that is higher than Giannis?

It's one thing for a poster to say the Bucks should have added Butler. It's another thing to come up with a way to do that.

For all we know, Milwaukee loved Butler.

I loved Kim Novak when I was very young. Never figured out a way to get it done.

I'm guessing the Portis suspension blew up any opportunity for Jimmy.

Trading Portis doesn't get you near what Wiggins plus the other guy the Warriors traded were making. And how does taking on a lot more salary (49, 62, 62 get you under the second apron?

The rumored deal of Middleton, Portis, and Patty C got them under the 2nd apron. Not advocating for it. I thought there would be a good deal out there for Portis, but the suspension blew up everything

From the trade board:

Dame + Kuz for Murray + MPJ

What do you guys think? I’d like to think we could nab their first since Murray has injury issues.

Not correct. Porter is on the veterans minimum, and Marjon made $2.7 million. We could do that deal at any time.

The Middleton trade made it possible to use cash in the Sims trade.

It ended up being all one trade with the Wizards somehow also landing Lessort. Porter obv was separate.

Although Prince has been better lately, I think splitting his minutes among the guards (put Rollins back in the rotation for one thing) is pretty low-hanging fruit. We're better when we play more guards, which is a lot of why Doc playing tweener forwards at guard (and still getting beat on the boards most nights) is so infuriating.

Agree. Move Prince back to SF, bring Kuzma off the bench.

Man finally gets extended minutes, shows out, meshes with teammates and if he isn't out for the season, might still not get minutes when he returns since BP will be back. Stay up, J-Rock.

At this point, unless Kuz is relegated to a defense only role, I don't want kuzma on the floor.

Now if you ask me who I do want on the floor, that's a tough question. I'd start KPJ with Dame and let Dame play off the ball. KPJ at least has bball skills. Kuzma doesn't.

This is the kind of Dame trade the team should at least consider if available. He's still great but he'll be 35 next season. Although it would be hilarious to see all the "he sucks at defense" people mental gymnastics their way into arguing that the defense wouldn't be an even worse problem with those two in the starting-5. Would be interesting to see how a real coach and GM would construct the roster around Murray/MPJ/Giannis.

And Jericho getting hurt is just our luck, man. I'm praying for us to use that hardship exemption to get a guy who can play 5-10 minutes of non-garbage time so that Doc doesn't kill Brook and Giannis.

I think I'd for sure do that trade in the offseason, solely due to Dames age. I'd probably then look to re-flip MPJ at some point
