Meh. Last season was supposed to be his chance. He got off to a slow start, got benched for Donte, and that was it. He sat the bench until he got traded.

One year later, the guy is averaging 30 points per game.

1 minute? :o that's a serious choke job.

Or a successful tank job.

Sixers were definitely trying to win that game.

If one of your guys are hitting a bunch of shots throughout the game, you don't play him 44 minutes if you're trying to lose.

It is really unforgivable the Mavericks were not able to get Reeves in the Doncic trade....what a disaster of a trade.

1 FRP, no Knecht, no Reeves, nothing. Incredible. The worst negotiated trade in NBA history.

He's getting to hoist up unlimited shots on a bad team.

He had a chance here and didn't take it.

Sucks, because he'd be good off the bench here, but Leon had to satisfy Chanel's Burk urges. Terrible person.

just looked at the west standings, didn't realize the rockets have been playing better and retook 2nd. very bunched from 2 to 5 though with 3 teams at 25 losses and the other at 26. should be an interesting finish.

east on the other hand remains largely unchanged and somewhat settled. 4-5-6 still in play though.

As good as Grimes has played in the past few weeks he isn't a difference maker like Lebron James who can impact the outcome of the game by simply being on the floor. Nurse knows this and that is why he had no problem leaving him in the game despite the fact that he was the team's leading scorer.

Philadelphia is basically playing as if they were in Summer league, actually more like pro-am, so…

And he’s making them! But, yeah, he’s getting a the chance to spread his wings with a bad team. But he’s doing it against good NBA teams.

Can we sign him in the off season.

True. No pressure. I get that. But he’s still doing it against legit NBA competition. Plus, that defense.

I have to laugh at the memory of Melo supporters who would get all pissy and say his critics were just mad because he wasn't Lebron.

It was completely besides the point and the least convincing debating point of all time.

TBF I remember a number of people who argued that Melo would have a better career than Lebron based off their rookie seasons.

I'm not mad we traded Grimes and Obi away. Both of them were given minutes their rookie season and Thibs actually played them. Even Grimes started for us until he lost the spot.

But I never liked the return we got for them. We held on to Obi too long. And we gave away Grimes for over the hill vets after we held on to him in the Mitchell negotiations. I know Ainge was asking for a lot but we should’ve gotten more for Grimes. Management has been good for the most part but these two were mismanaged assets.
