No. We'd have to trade for one

I kinda figured that

Tucker DeVries looks like he's probably gonna be back at WV after rehabbing the shoulder, but I wonder if enough teams show interest in him as a 2nd round guy that he'd still declare for the draft and test the waters. Might be the best pure shooter in this class.

For you guys who have watched a lot of Cooper Flagg, help me out. Watching this Duke/NC game. You can see some Durant a bit on offense in effortless jumpers. But I’m not seeing a guy you tank for.

That said, first game I’ve ever watched him in. And he’s been in foul trouble.

Watch him more. He's good at amost everything, including defense.

Closest thing I’ve seen to Giannis.

He came back with a very good 2nd half. I did see the defense. Need to watch more here in the tournament.

The guy that impressed me was Knueppel. That guy can play defense.

Knueppel is fundamentally sound at everything. Will have some problems at the next level with lateral quickness, but he is a ten year NBA player. Would love the Bucks to get him, but he'll be long gone.

You'd think he would have issues with lateral quickness but every time I saw him yesterday, he stayed in front of his man. It was quite unbelievable and frustrated the heck out of the NC players. Just hope he has strong ACL's to maintain that in the pros. (I only say that because his lower body and legs are built like a tank)

PF sized Jimmy Butler seems close enough. Could end up a better shooter too.

UNC is really not good this year, the bubble power conference teams in college this year are as bad as I can ever remember.

Selfishly I hope he goes back and plays again for his dad. Life is too short, enjoy the time.

Also would prefer that they were both still at Drake.

Hard to believe Rutgers had two potential top 5 picks on their team and had a losing record.

Does that make anyone question their draft stock?

A bit, but that's also a young team with a handful of pretty bad players in their rotation.

Bangot Dak is our guy. I've never seen him play at all, and there's no YouTube tape on him, so I'm just guessing based on history and stuff.

That Mo Dioubate kid on Bama looked fun.

I think I'd take Jeremiah Fears 3rd. He's being mocked 13th. Caught my eye before yesterday's game. It's the extreme youth (re-classified hs senior), early production, elite speed, body control, strength, competitiveness, belief, & shooting foundation (85% from the line). And watching him in a game, you can see why his efficiency & ast/to ratio isn't good. His teammates suck. Couldn't make a layup. He was dropping dimes. And he was a good 1 v. 1 defender. Makes some help plays, but also gets lost. This can improve w/ experience. I think he can be an NBA star.

Going back to Flagg, a 16th seed is not what you're going to gauge him from. But you may not see the best of him in this tourney, if his ankle doesn't heal. Should have sat him at least until next game, if not thru the weekend. He's moving gingerly. Regardless what happens in the tourney, he's one of the best all-time prospects, w/out a hole in his game, and real strengths like passing, touch, & defensive versatility. Gauge him on a dominant season as a re-classified hs senior himself. Performing well in the tourney w/ a bum ankle would just be the cherry on top.

Flagg's best comparison IMO is a rich man's Jimmy Butler. Picture Butler but literally better in EVERY SINGLE FACET. Bigger, more athletic, better shooter, better playmaking, better defensively, more skilled as a handler.

Disagree on Fears going 3rd. He was bad in conference play vs better competition. 12ppg on 37% FG and 25% from 3, couldn't score on volume, unable to make shots of any kind, more turnovers than assists. Yeah his teammates aren't good, but flat out neither was he vs better competition. We don't get to just trash the rest of that team when Fears was also out there crapping his pants alongside them. That's not to say he doesn't have potential, just I wouldn't take a 6'2 PG who can't shoot right now, isn't a plus playmaker, and really struggled for a good portion of the season 3rd overall. Think 7th onwards is a better value for him.
