Way to go, Baylor! So many folks on here and in twitter were writing him off, calling him a bust after like 40 games.

Gotta be patient and give rookies time. Even older rookies - look at Hauser..didn't do anything his rookie year, except play g league..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It's be lame if we all agreed about everything :)

Always Nice to Get a Win without JT & JB. Porzingis played like a League MVP. Scheierman put in a performance typical of an All-Star in only 16 minutes of action. Lucky to pull this one out.

An Alternative Perspective:

Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+33 Kristaps Porzingis 29 minutes

+24 Baylor Scheierman 16 minutes

+13.5 Jrue Holiday 38 minutes
+9 Payton Pritchard 33 minutes
+8 Sam Hauser 29 minutes
+7 Derrick White 33 minutes
+6 Neemias Queta 9 minutes

+4.5 Al Horford 31 minutes
+1.5 Torrey Craig 8 minutes
0 Luke Kornet 12 minutes

Team Total = 106.5

He’s got a high level of toughness, he’s got a chip on his shoulder, almost an F-U mentality.

If the Celtics brass think that this kid can give you, on a semi-consistent basis, 80% of what Hauser brings, then my guess is that Sam will be traded for picks in the offseason. Sort of a first measure to cut costs.

Went with Schimon and Stapsfunkel. Nets had no answer for either of them.

Nah. Hauser brings nothing but spot up shooting. Sadly he’s just too inconsistent having slumps on multiple consecutive games.

Well, we don't really know how consistent Scheierman can be. I'd rather have both on the bench and play the one that's feeling it.

Baylor was **** feelin himself.

Mfer took a 30 foot transition 3 and had that klay Thompson catch and shoot without even bringing the ball down.

Just might be a rotation player, pretty impressive.

Baylor looked unsure of himself early season, they let him find himself in the g by putting him in positions he’d be in with the big guys. He had his opportunity to get his feet wet and confidence. None of you can tell me he had this type of energy the first few times we saw him. He was tentative.

I guess Joe and Brad get no credit for giving him the opportunity to find himself. How many teams are bringing their first round pick off the bench in the G? None. That’s how you know they really believe in him, they let him get used to not being the center of it all and let him figure out how to still do him when other good players have the rope. That move alone made me believe from the moment they said it, they think he’ll be something, but he must fit.

Scheierman looked good tonight but he still looks overmatched physically. Hauser can be inconsistent but he is clearly more of an NBA talent physically. He also has proven he can deliver against really good teams. We have only seen Baylor do well against g-league squads like the Nets and Sixers.

If the Cs can trade Hauser and get back a closing big man like Rob Williams used to be and then make do with Peterson and Baylor….I am okay with that. However, Hauser is really much better than both of them.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

If he keeps improving on defense, he might end the Sam Hauser era.

Good win
Voted Baylor and Kristaps, but wanted a 3rd vote for Derrick who I thought was big helping turn things around in the 3rd quarter

And, uh oh: Torrey Craig might be ass
You hate to see it

Nice win.

VC to Baylor and KP. Both were great.

Baylor was awesome. This is what I liked about him at Creighton. He had a great game. 20 points in only 16 minutes and only on 8 shots. 7-8 from the field, 6-7 from 3, he played with energy. Great offensive rebound. Joe had no idea what to do with him late in the 4th quarter. He took him out for White. White could have come in for Al.

KP was great with 25, 13 and 3 blocks. The 13 rebounds might have been a season high. He did all of this on just 13 shots.

White had a great 3rd quarter. Jrue had a really good all around game.

Happy for Baylor! He had a really good game recently against the Sixers and a great game tonight. It took both Tatum and Brown being out for Joe to give him a chance. I don't expect Joe to play Baylor the next game when Tatum and Brown come back.

Rico saved the Cs in the 3rd.

Nets were rolling until that explosion from Rico in that 3rd qtr.

Went Baylor, of course. Even beyond the shooting he had some nice cuts and overall hustle/ intensity. Not afraid of the money or to make plays.

Heat tip to White for doing his thing a quarter early tonight to set the stage for Baylor
