This is gonna be like some of those Drew Brees seasons…high powered offense, monster numbers…anywhere from 8-10 wins and MAYBE a playoff spot, probably not though.

Al Golden would have to end up as an awesome DC to turn that same/similar personnel from last season into a respectable defense.therealbig3 wrote:This is gonna be like some of those Drew Brees seasons…high powered offense, monster numbers…anywhere from 8-10 wins and MAYBE a playoff spot, probably not though.
Bengals in 1 score losses last season surrendered 33.3 points per contest and went 0-6 in such games. The worst part, in those same 6 games, the Bengals averaged 29.66 points per game.

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
One score losses involve lot of luck though, they would have been a double digit win team even if they went .500 in one score games. I personally think Bengals are a lock for playoffs as long as they address oline in the draft.

Idk if starting 2 rookie guards is a great idea. Although i guess it can't be any worse than starting Cody Ford and Jaxson Kirkland.El Turco wrote:One score losses involve lot of luck though, they would have been a double digit win team even if they went .500 in one score games. I had to google what Cincinnati chili was because I had no idea. Sounds like an acquired taste

It for sure is. A lot of people say it has way too much cinnamon in it but i don't really pick-up on any of the cinnamon notes, since it has like 18 other spices in it.Jaydubb wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:Most people who aren't from here, do not like Cincinnati chili lolazcatz11 wrote:?s=46

Also, out of towners go in thinking it's a soup when it's really a sauce. There are very few ppl who would eat a bowl of it. We put it over noodles or hotdogs. Less frequently its put over fries, even less frequently it's put over a baked potato. Some people will even mix it with sour cream and make a dip for nachos.
I think people go in trying to compare it to Texas style chili and it's just not a 1 to 1 comparison, they're 2 different things.

How is it possible that I know about skyline chili but you don't?

Never tried it but it looks like a spicy bolognese sauce to me, not a chili.

Isn't chili a SW thing?
But Cincinnati made a variant?
Is there a large ethnic population, like Chicago which has polish restaurants?
Anyways, Chase can have any kind of food he wants made for him by a personal chef. Or have something flown to him.

Cincinnati used to be a "port" city way way way back in the day before all these other modes of transportation were invented, being right on the Ohio River.wco81 wrote:Isn't chili a SW thing?

That being the case, we have a diverse history of culture in the Queen City.
We have goetta which is cuisine influenced by German immigrants.
We have Cincinnati chili (Skyline, Gold Star, Empress) which is cuisine created by Greek immigrants.
We have LaRosa’s Pizza which is created by 2nd generation Italian immigrants.
Grippos which are known for their chips now days but invented the loop pretzel, was snack foods by an Italian immigrant.
Heck, even our dessert. Graeter’s Ice-cream is from German immigrants, it's super thick.

I have no idea where the best eating spots are in Cincinnati, McDonald's? Lol...But I do get their reasoning, FULL On Mutiny if they don't keep the Star players happy. The Stars are marketable, Burrow, Chase, etc and these guys will attract the crowd and fill the seats. So they had to spend in these areas of the team. Linemen usually don't draw big. Unless Aaron Donald is on the team. So I get the reasoning

lol I don’t know. I was born and raised on the other side of the country, in Los Angeles California, which has a very different culture. I think I’ve heard of skyline chili before but I honestly didn’t know what made it different. Kinda wanna try it now.lol

Hahaha probably so, we have UDF ice cream and Montgomery Inn BBQ ribs too that are staples of the area and history.Jaydubb wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:Cincinnati used to be a "port" city way way way back in the day before all these other modes of transportation were invented, being right on the Ohio River.wco81 wrote:Isn't chili a SW thing?

I'm not saying any of this food is good or bad but when you grow up eating it, everyone in the tri-state grows to love it.

Greeks dont create cuisines, they just label others' food as their own

For Gold Star it was Jordanian immigrants who founded it, so maybe we can go with that lol

Jags tied the record for most 1-score losses in a season with 10 this year lol (overall went 3-10 in one score games)
Genuinely maddening to watch.

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles

I think Bill Barnwell had a good article on this, team record in one score games is the biggest indicator of performance next year. If your record in one score games is very good you are likely to decline and vice versa. Much of it comes down to bounce of the ball.
