Re: 2024-2025 Tickets and Memorabilia Thread
FWIW, Leafs SSH got dinged by MLSE as well. This from the Toronto Sun:
While supporters of the biggest franchise in the NHL are used to seeing the price of their season-ticket renewals creep up every year, the latest increase has many outraged.
According to a report by the Athletic, prices for 2025-26 season tickets have jumped by as much as 20% in some sections with the so-called cheap seats being hammered the most.
One section with the largest increase was near the top of the building, in the purple section, where two season tickets went from $8,522 this season to $10,396 for next year.
To make matters worse, the team also sent out the invoice at the same time for this season’s playoff tickets – for all four rounds and for four potential home games in each round.
A playoff ticket package in the aforementioned upper-bowl section is priced at $14,360 for two tickets, which is nearly double the cost of the 41-game regular season package and is nearly a 13% increase.
Meanwhile, the high-rollers in the gold sections of the lower bowl are seeing their season-ticket prices rise more than $2,000 to $28,240 for a pair of tickets – which equates to $344 per ticket per game.
Playoff tickets in those seats are priced at a total of $36,152 for 16 potential games, with Stanley Cup Final games ducats going for a total of $14,848 – nearly $2,000 per seat per game.
According to MLSE, the seats that have a 20% increase or higher were “determined to be historically underpriced as it relates to value of these tickets and market demand and this season’s increase in this area represents a market correction.”

Wow that is wild. I recently got red seats to a Leafs game and didn't realize that they were physically tighter than the gold seats. Had to keep swapping elbows with my buddy and the guy beside me lol. Then was told by the SSH that gifted me the tickets the price of those reds and was like

Did decide to give my Raptors SSH cancellation notice on Monday though, before the big payment on the 21st after 6 seasons (more like 4 between COVID and Tampa year) but just didn't see a benefit anymore, if at all other than securing playoffs tickets at cost. Hard to go to games anymore anyway. He said they have gotten alot of notices over the past month.

Congrats on deciding to bail!
I buy a tickets from a couple of guys with seats next to each other. So for the Detroit game, I have five seats in a row. But I only bought tickets for 4 games this season. The lowest for me since season #1.
One of my ticket guys is thinking of not renewing. He’s had trouble reselling some games lately and he doesn’t ever go himself because he’s living in Guelph.

I'm still amazed that I didn't get an increase. Aside from my regulars, I had about a dozen games I moved at Ticketmaster, pretty much covering my costs. Seats are too good to give up (dead centre of the upper bowl), so I will give it one more year. If they are competing for more than lottery balls at this point of next season, it ought to be easy enough to cover again.

Yeah, made friends with our new season seat members beside us last month, so at worst may reach out to him as him/his wife don't go to every game. Once I looked at our total end cost this year after going to only 5 games it just wasn't worth it. Was better buying those a la carte even at an inflated market price. Even offering at cost/near cost (all below market) there were many games with 0 interest from friends/fam/contacts that went unattended. With 2 toddlers everything has to be mapped out perfectly

Yeah that's a good spot for sure and I'm sure the price is reasonable and easy to offload when needed ie: TM. The increase for my lower bowl I just calculated and it looks to be 3% (which is nominal to me after that 13% hike a few years back
