McCain, Grimes, PG, Durant, Embiid is a more formidable lineup than whatever we put out next year with Maxey. I’m fine with riding with the young guys, or going after a young F if trading Maxey is necessary. I just know Morey isn’t interested in a youth movement.

On the contrary, I believe Morey is and has embraced a youth movement. Grimes, Maxey, McCain, Council, Edwards, Bona, Hood-Schifino, Butler, Brissett...He really needs to keep these 9 players plus the draft pick.

This “youth movement” is because the bottom has fallen out with Embiid, PG, and Maxey injuries completely derailing the season at various times this year. If they all were healthy along with Caleb, we wouldn’t see Grimes, Brissett, Hood-Schifino, Butler and Edwards, Council, and Bona would never play. It’s happening due to necessity.

He didn't have a choice...And thank God for that. Nobody wants to watch Eric Gordon, Reggie Jackson, Montrezl Harrell, Marcus Morris or any of the numerous over the hill players he's added.

I mean, you probably wouldn't want to watch Butler or JHS play big minutes if we were trying to win games either. We've had some good bargain bin vets over the years, guys like Niang and Batum and Pat Bev and the first go-round of Drummond or Lowry. And we've had young guys who got their shots despite not being ready too, Reed, Springer, Shake, RCIV.

That's the whole game, just keep taking chances on cheap players who can fill roles and expect maybe like 25-30% of them to work out.

Thing is, when we're tanking these dudes don't have to actually be good good, it's enough to be interesting and show some flashes. Get hot when they get hot and play through their f ups, don't have to play a role they really need to show up for.

Hope OKC has to eat a massive fine for sitting out their guys trying to steal a pick rather than clinch a one seed for the playoffs.

If Nurse doesn't bench Grimes, Yabu, Edwards, and anyone else who appears to be having a good game in the 4th quarter, he should be fired before he leaves the court. F***k Silver and his fines.

To piggyback on the Maxey trade, a team I could see being very interested would be Utah, especially if they have a top 2 pick. Markkanen is taking up a spot that Filipowki or Flagg (if they land him) should have. A top flight guard is a major piece that they're missing right now.

I know it's Ainge, but if they are willing to part with Markkanen and pick(s), I'd entertain it.

I would too, but they have Sexton. I don't know if they would break the bank on Maxey.

However Orlando... that's a team that desperately needs a shoot/score guard like Maxey.

Yea, but they don't have **** to give us. Not parting with Banchero or Wagner. Their pick wouldn't be worth too much.

I don't think Utah is committed to Sexton being the long term answer there.

Yes I'd consider it. Would also consider young playmaking forwards like Paulo Banchero, Franz Wagner, Trey Murphy if possible.

Oh, I could see a Maxey for Wagner trade. Maybe add a pick swap. Maybe expand it to dump George on PHX as part of a KD to MIA trade.

I think Maxey will be moved. McCain will actually be a better more efficient player next year.?

We're not that bad, I am afraid we could grab a few wins against weaker teams...

I love that Justin Edwards is blowing up. It's so insane after watching him last year.

I might consider moving Maxey in a deal for Wagner or Murphy, but I'm not a believer in Banchero.
