Too much ball handling responsibility put on Bridges and he’s just not that good. Whenever the defense pressures him a little bit he becomes a turnover machine and starts taking bad shots.

Josh Hart is kind of useless offensively unless he’s attacking the basket in transition. In the half court he’s a liability.

KATs defense continues to be an issue, he’s just so bad and there is no fixing it.

I thought the team just wasn’t sharp last night, they didn’t bring the hustle and were slow on their rotations and a bunch of open shots just didn’t go in. 3rd quarter they looked much better but the terrible 1st half and 4th quarter was too much to overcome.

Oh and Landry Shamet sucks. Bench overall sucks.

Josh Hart whining is getting annoying. He walks up the court and isn’t even interested in playing defense, just wants to bark at the ref as if the ref is the reason he just broke the backboard on his shot attempt

Like many have pointed out---I doubt it'll truly turn anything around but at this point, just in order to infuse different vibes and a different look I feel like you have to go with:

Deuce/Payne/Kolek
Bridges/Hart/Shamet
OG/Hart/Shamet
KAT/Precious
Mitch/KAT

with Payne, Hart, Precious off the bench. And it isn't to demote Hart who by and large has played a good season (although regressing lately) but the bench right now is so bad you simply can't have all your talent and firepower in the starting line-up.

Also, we know the KAT at the 5 line-up definitely won't work against the league's elite teams so there is really no upside in sticking to it. If Mitch/KAT frontcourt does not work then at least you can take that from this season and approach the offseason differently. I don't see any upside in just keeping things as they are at this point. Like it makes zero sense. We can't beat the elite---any realistic fan know that---at least use the last 14 games to see how the big line-up works on a regular basis.

Since Brunson is the reason the offense sucks when he's healthy, Thibs must be the reason the offense sucks when the selfish Brunson is fortunately out.

At least we have our picks the next half decade and salary cap flexibility.

This was one of the greatest Knicks games I've watched. Proud of the resilience that this team showed last night.

I can deal with losing, but it's unacceptable for some bench player to break an NBA record and completely destroy us while Thibs doesn't make any adjustments to stop it from happening.

Despite what appears to be awful coaching, this was the league’s best offense for long stretches of the season. This team has tremendous potential going forward. Imo Hart needs to come off the bench and Robinson needs to start. This would allow this team to excel on both ends of the court and not fall off without starters.

It’s hard to argue that losses like this do not fall on the coach. This should’ve been an automatic win and Hart had been struggling. They are leaving him open and clogging the paint with his man. Something has to happen in this regard, especially since we’re talking about an energetic player who is the prototypical X-factor type of guy. So in a way, that’s a nice problem to have. A second wave of Payne, McBride, Bridges, Hart and Mitch should wipe out most other benches.

Biggest problem for the Knicks: Thibs

Biggest saviors: The FO that fires this outdated coach and his ridiculous concepts of the game. Thibs is trash.

If only we had a ball handling guard who might be an assist machine to bring the ball up instead of Mikal

We don’t and that’s not really the type of guard that is missing. A bigger guard like Donte or Grimes would help since they can handle and are actual scoring threats, aggressive and can attack and can still provide solid to good defense.

Part of me wishes the TWolves asked for Josh Hart instead of Donte

Big for nothing. He is so horrendous in drop. And whats wild is he has had some really decent plays in switching lately or maybe they just stand out more cause this sht is so painful to watch. Either way this is atrocious. Can't play it worse.

He's a space cadet in drop...we all see it. Not sure why that is our continued preferred coverage with KAT.

Like we can't do both? When Mitch is in we can run drop he's active and knows how to play that coverage.

When KAT is in we should be switching and if we are playing a non shooting center and you don't want to switch right out of the gate we should blitz and recover then.

Drop and KAT don't mix.
