If you like booker and Durant.

Or interested in how Matas could learn from KD.

I don’t think there is much to learn from KD as far as style of play.

Acting like Vuc is bad is pretty nuts. He is very good, he just is bad at defense. They should have traded him for whatever they could at the deadline. That is pretty obvious. For whatever reason there is a belief the market will be better this offseason.

So that's what Phoenix looks like when one of their stars gets hot. Booker couldn't miss in the 2nd half.

Unclear why Giddey came off the bench.

Things almost got interesting there at the end, then we gave us the easiest in-bounds layup I've ever seen.

All I want is to sit Vuc for the rest of the year and have all center minutes go to Collins and Smith.

I like when Patrick Williams tried to take someone 1-on-1, got completely no where, and then just passed it right to the other team. He really does have an all-time lowlight reel. His mistakes are just so bad, and stand out so much.

He went for 24/6/2 shooting 50% from three on high volume. If Billy would go offense/defense with Collins and Williams rotating in and out for defense in late game situations Vuc would look better.

Thoughts on Matas:

Explosive leaper but lacks explosion in the rest of his game. More of a strider;
Slow to react to or change direction for loose balls;
Lacks situational awareness, and awareness period on D and broken plays;
Loses track of the ball;
Has a good stroke on his three;
First step needs to be more consistent on attempted blow bys;
Needs to tighten his handles.

If he can get to the rim consistently from the 3 point line he will be really tough to guard, like a Mirotic who dunks. Other than blocked shots, he is pretty useless on D right now.

Hard to argue that Vuc is effective when is making 3's, but the statistics prove that it's a sucker bet to think it is anything but an occasional streak.

I agree with most of your Matas points. I will disagree about his defense. He does a decent job of staying in front of his man and, even if he doesn't block shots, his contests are impactful. His biggest issue to me is that he runs out of gas in 2nd halves of games. He needs to move more without the ball. His 3 ball is still problematic too - while his form is good, his feet and jumping are a big problem in terms of consistency.
