Wyc Grousbeck To Remain Celtics CEO, Governor Through 2027-28 Season

Wyc Grousbeck will continue his role as the CEO and governor of the Boston Celtics through the 2027-28 season, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.

Bill Chisholm agreed to purchase the team for $6.1 billion on Thursday.

Co-owners Grousbeck and Steve Pagliuca announced the sale of the Celtics shortly after the team won its 18th NBA title last June.

It was the Grousbeck family's original plan for Wyc Grousbeck to remain in charge through the 2028 season.

Mark didn't stay on at all it wasn't in the contract and he let the mavs go for 1 billion less than it was worth it was absolutely lunacy probably worse than the Luka trade.. As for celtics I think this will be in the contract and may be related to full payment being made over 3 years we will see.. It is a crazy price to pay and I think it is likely players will be let go to not pay the enormous luxury tax bill that would be coming they dont even own the stadium..
