West Watch: Lakers vs Warriors First Round Matchup

Los Angeles Lakers / LA Clippers. This would be a good matchup. A healthy Clippers and Lakers teams battling it out to advance (the battle of Los Angeles). The pressure on both teams to win, Lakers to try to maximize LeBron window (teaming up with Luka) and the Clippers to finally deliver (Harden and Kawhi). Also, I would like to see what healthy Kawhi can do in the playoffs since arriving to the Clippers. James Harden will have to show up as well, maybe there is a chance we see a breakthrough of Ben Simmons.

With 12 games left for the #2 through #5 seeds (14 games left for the Lakers), it's still way too early to conclude this is the matchup. I don't think we'll truly know until the season finale tbh. Those 4 seeds are at most 2 games apart from each other.

I don’t see how anyone will beat OKC 4 times with the way they have proven themselves throughout this season. They are having a historic season with a lot of injuries. Only more injuries will derail them or a historic choke because no one is a better team than them.

I'd prefer Lakers playing the Clippers in the first round (2 vs 7) and then the winner of Nuggets/Warriors (3 vs 6), and one of LAL/DEN/GSW taking on OKC in route to meet Celtics/Cavs at the Finals. Preferably a Lakers vs Celtics finals - that would be Absolute Cinema for the NBA.

I was certain we would see a lakers clips matchup when AD and PG were still there but it never happened. I dont think they have ever played each other in the playoffs. It would be awesome to see.

Too early to tell as each team between 2-5 play each other and are separated by 2 games.

Will most likely come down to tie breakers. Interesting last 3 weeks of the season.

Golden State's next 6 games are on the road. A couple of patsy teams (Pelicans, Spurs), a couple mid-tier teams (Hawks, Heat) and playoff contenders (Grizzlies, Lakers).
