Depending on playoff results... I could see...

Clippers
Bucks
Pelicans
Knicks
76ers
Spurs (Pop retires)
Kings

All looking at new coaches

Willie Green (NOP), Mike Budenholzer (PHX), Chauncey Billups (POR) seem like the prime candidates. Billy Donovan (CHI) would be my dark horse pick.

Christie is technically only the interim HC, so he probably won't get "fired" per se but IDK what his odds are of retaining the job permanently. And of course Pop won't be fired but might retire for health reasons.

I don't get this one at all. Lue is widely considered one of the better coaches in the league and he's got the Clippers outperforming expectations.

Vogel should be a head coach.

He was great on the Lakers
He had the Suns playing greater than they were.

He should be coaching a team that wants a defensive identity. I think Blazers let Billups deal expire and hire Vogel in offseason.

You could argue Mosley in Orlando could get fired but probably won’t. Weltman only had 1 year left on his deal so probably a prove it year for both FO and HC.

Why? He built a much better culture than anyone expected given the lack of talent on Portland. A team most pegged as a bottom 5 team in the NBA is on the verge of the Play-In.

Seems like a foolish move to fire Billups at this stage, given his success with a talent-deprived team.

If the FO has 1 year left, I think they would be more likely to go after a different HC.

Avdija and Camara have changed the defense. Clingan to a lesser extent.

Billups still seems hapless to me. Prefer to higher a professional coach who knows what he is doing.

Don't forget Scoots development (Highest on-court and on-off on the team).

Not Orlando’s FO they’re the most risk averse in the NBA. Rather hold onto the known vs making a move. Same with the roster the last 3 years.

He could not have gone anywhere but up after last year.

Billups early years as a HC remind me strongly of Kidd’s early years as a coach. Didn’t deserve the job, didn’t know what he was doing. I don’t know what the world thinks of Kidd as a coach now (average, maybe?), but I imagine Billups will get there.

Doesn’t mean it will be in Portland, though.

If Clips replace Lue with Brown, well, remember, up the river and not across the bridge.

I’m starting to see more speculation of Billups being extended.

He went up more than most people, including yourself.

He could have also just continued to be bad but instead he is one of your best players.

He is trending toward average from one of the worst in the league.

Would not call him one of the best blazers.
